    165,823 kms. Finished off the annual clean by cleaning and conditioning the leather and thoroughly wiping and vacuuming the interior. She is properly clean now! After spending over seven hours cleaning the E36 I spent about five minutes cleaning myself. That must mean I’ve got my priorities right! Also noticed it’d been 5,000kms since the last oil change, so did a quick oil & filter change this afternoon. Something about having a clean car with a fresh oil change feels so good. Reset the service light and ready to roll. And to top it all off, I finally replaced the most annoying thing on the car - an upside down M sticker! This was embarrassingly satisfying. Before: After:

    The dash in this car wasn't to bad, only one crack in the standard e30 position. However, I've had a mint one sitting in storage for a few years now and I've been waiting for the right time to put it to use. So, out with the old and in with the new. I think this is the 3rd attempt at pulling out and refitting e30 dash, not a bad job certainly not as daunting as one may think - IMO the worst part is refitting the heater duct controls and associated clips. I don't have to many photo's of this process but here it is with the old dash completely removed.. While I was in there, I pulled out the old blue carpet that was pretty tatty and installed a better looking blue replacement that came into my possession from a friends parts car. Replaced as many of the seals in the air box as I could with new sticky foam from Bunnings. And retrofitted an OBC to replace the analogue clock, the only piece I need to complete the job is a piece of loom that connects ambient air temp and OBC horn. If anyone has this piece (including ambient air temp sensor) and don't need it I would be more than happy to purchase it from you. Re-installed and everything worked - Very happy boy!

    Bit the bullet and bought the Turner spherical bearing kit, decided it was worth a punt since they have the lifetime warranty. Kit arrived yesterday and I spent this morning putting them in, out with the arms and pressed the old bushes out, new bushes ready to go in, first one went in no problem, second one took a couple of tries to get it started square but went in fine, arms go back in as per usual, but hardware can be torqued up with suspension droop as the mono ball just pivots when the weight comes back on, so nice and easy, will book for wheel alignment and WOF re-check next week. Now, to see how long they last....

    Hi all, I have been reading a few threads about your E46's, so thought I would post a few pics of my daily. Its a 2003 330d M-sport Touring. Originally a UK Car, very high spec with factory sat nav, Harmon Kardon, Glass sunroof and heated seats. I really love the torque and power from these engines, and they even sound good! I have had no issues with it since my ownership apart from a new air con compressor last year. Its just been routine maintenance using genuine parts supplied from the BM Workshop here in ChCh. Thanks for looking.

    Photo is pretty poor but looks like its missing a self tapping screw (typically 8mm). Wreckers etc would have plenty so just get some new ones.

    Given your current garage, and the daily commute that wouldn't even allow a fossil burner to warm up, I'd get a small electric car and invest the change in gold (for 2023 at least).

    An actual cooling system refresh - all hoses with new clamps and new fans blades to boot. Ive never replaced so many parts at once.

    Due to time, skill, and wanting to spend time with the family this week while on holiday, Eagle gave me a hand to put the new cooling system in place. Thanks very much again Jarrod car is back and working perfectly. The only gremlins appeared lately is the fan not having reliable electrical supply the seems to be due to some compressed wires in the loom around the headlight. they have like the way they do since I’ve owned the car. This will need further investigation when it’s not so hot, and I can stop sweating into the engine bay to look at it. so, the only thing to do now is to drive the wheels off the car 😎

    I read the article at the time of release, and thought at the time that the Dealer Principal (Mr Beacham himself) has both known exactly what he was doing at his time of purchase, and then gone out of his way to muddy the waters with regard to the actual ownership of this vehicle (which he onsold for 10x his purchase price). Upon reading it again now - if reported correctly,,,,,,I do understand there are two sides to every story - this article does not paint Mr Beacham in a very good light at all. On the strength of this, I wouldn't be dealing with this man at all.

    Thanks Jared - I must have missed the recommendations about the center-bore previously... The offset mismatch was spot on, yes. Don't think these new ones qualified as though. Have updated my profile pic with the new look 🙂
