Kenwood KMM-BT408 mechless. It's the updated version of the 305 I have in my e30. Small, clean look, tons of integration with your phone, three sets of pre-outs and all sorts of configs for time delay, eq etc etc. Even configure what the pre-outs are doing. Amber lighting: check. Configure your own preferred shade. Plays your carefully ripped WAV files from USB too. Or just play Spotify from your phone if you favour convenience. Install the included mic, set up bluetooth with your phone - bingo full handsfree. It'll even take a second phone at the same time. I bought one for my e46, not yet installed. If you want steering wheel integration you'll need a babelfish to take the canbus and talk to the Kenwood. https://www.qualitycaraudio.co.nz/kenwood-kmm-bt408-bluetooth-usb-nz-tuners-3x-pre-outs-car-stereo?search=KMM-BT408

JVC/Kenwood seem to good value for basic single din fitment and Bluetooth/usb/amber lighting (on certain models) functionality. Their mech-less ones also save on space fitting wise. I have an Alpine single fin (UTE-XXbt or something like that) unit in one of mine, which I’m impressed with. It doesn’t look out of place and the amber lighting is pretty close too. Plus get BT and front USB charging/playback. Nothing flash but does the trick. HTH

Breaking news, you may not be aware, but, N52s leak oil.

Some responsible mods (not me) deleted a thread before I could have my chance to reply, but in summary: Someone bought an old second hand car that is renowned for developing oil leak issues. It was purchased without a warranty or an independent PPI. 3 months later it developed oil leaks and they wanted the seller to return it back to the condition it was sold in. The request was made a single time before starting a thread on bimmersport to complain. Completely unrelated, but I found it interesting given the age of the this forum that "Karen" as a display name was available right up until just today.

The rear airbags are very easy to replace on the e53 and e70 platforms. They make towing so much better.

I think we all knew it was something along those lines. Still dont agree with the deleting on the thread though.

It's been a hot minute since my last proper post here. A fair few cars have joined the fleet since then, I will write a post about them at some point as I'm sure some of you would find it interesting. But anyway, I thought I'd share how my Adidas shoe finally broke down, so I had to find a suitable replacement. Not sure how reliable it will be getting me from A to B, and the cost of maintenance will be more than the Adidas shoe, but hopefully it's worth it as it's a pretty special machine... Wasn't sure about the BBS RC wheels, admittedly they have grown on me quite a lot since getting the car. Plus it's a bonus that the rears are 285 in width - a feature that seems necessary when you've got lots of power, not much weight, and no driver assists. I have managed to find a set of factory wheels (which I am a big fan of). Will probably put them on once they are suited up with a fresh set of Pilot Sport 5s. General feedback from friends and family is that the interior is "bold". I personally love it. Nothing is more boring than a black exterior with a black interior on a car like this. It comes with an impressive history folder - every receipt, WOF, insurance document, even a note from a guy asking to buy the car in 2021. Surprising to me was the level of looks the car gets, especially from car people. I owned it a whopping 10 minutes before getting my first complement.

239,000km glad to say no more pulsing for the HVAC. Over the hill this weekend getting filthy. I’ve taken out the exhaust flap switch as it wasn’t working and the car was a bit loud for my liking at the lower revs. Iv plugged the vac lines together and now the butterfly is closed shut. Have ordered a new switch but in the meantime it’s nice having it a bit quieter. I’m not sure when it failed but I felt it was louder than usual ages ago but didn’t realise there’s actually a solenoid that operates the exhaust flap, not just vacuum. Post gravel road wash I clay’d the entire car and applied a ceramic coating. A mate had sent me the last of a bottle of this hydro G9 to try out. Looking forward to seeing how this performs over winter.

The peak is the Stone Island sticker on the door, well known as the Football Hooligans uniform, tops even the fake brakes!

Have you driven one? There’s no way it’s passing anything on the straight unless it’s a bicycle.

pointless using brave if you still have google set as the default search engine, its the search engine at fault not the browser you won't get a sponsored section with other search engines like that people don't realise just how much monopoly google have on the world, just pure evil 95% of people think a google search is an unbiased truth and completely fact checked its very sad how they have way more control than facebook /meta ever had, just more subtle but people think zuckerberg is the issue ask any teacher, student google is god
