How good are cold n flu tablets now with the extra special sauce in them. Got a bit of energy on the weekend at night after kids went down to make progress Front shocks all done. Was expecting this to be a dick but all went really smoothly. Yet to get the car on the ground to check toe. Old Monroe fronts, look to be the standard suspension variant as the new b4s’s are considerably shorter. Got the revshift 80A poly gbox mounts in. Started the car up on stands and went through the gears, no vibrations or sequential race box sounds, verdict when on the road and track. Waiting for the other koni rear ‘additional damper’ to show up so not quite done with the rear end. Someone loved this car over the years as the rear shocks were AC Schnitzers paired with AC springs. Old vs new rear bumpstops, significantly shorter. I will likely do rear subframe inserts after next trackday on 31st as I’m keen to feel the incremental improvements all these treats will make, plus they’ll probably turn up when I just cbf putting them in the day before the track.

Finished up the brakes, installed new handbrake shoes, rear brembo discs to match the fronts, and new hella/pagid brake pads all round, along with new brake hoses too. next job is going to be to figure out a solution for the rear shift carrier mount, to make the e36 item fit the pfl e30 shell

Did the oil Cooler and Oil filter housing gaskets today on my runabout. I should not have left this so long. I made the mistake of thinking no drips on the ground no major leak. Just spent 3 hours cleaning off the caked on oil and dirt.. She was thick.

Hey getting a steering clunk from rocking wheel back and forward through drivers side tie rod inner joint. Keen to replace it or everything in there if someone wants to sell parts. Already done control arms just want to make the car mint.

You're looking for the exact opposite of this, use a torch and look along the length where the head meets the rocker cover. Its the lowest point, so it collects on the ledge before dripping over onto the exhaust manifolds. If rocker gasket has just been done, it could be residual oil/degreaser from them cleaning up, or it could be another leak (first thing to check if does has fresh oil along the ledge is bolt torques, if its a silver top could also be broken bolt/s)

Upgraded to Pro Nav screen and controller - actually quite straightforward, lifts the interior quite a bit. A shame native CarPlay isn’t possible with NBT EVO Business Nav
