Well after following up on my '2-3 month wait list', they have the parts ready for me now, (after 1 month). @M3_Power I certainly appreciate your input, feedback and opinion as one of the most helpful 'amateur' contributors to the (inter)national e46 community. Ignore these haters that obviously have no idea what you contribute.

I'm in the process of buying a new car... well a second hand, one of my favorite cars. Luckily I have a lot of good contacts and have found one for a bloody good deal. So now it's time to sell my current pride and joy ?... i don't want to sell it, but owning two cars will be slightly unnecessary. On the plus side the new car will be worth it ?? More details available on my listing. Feel free to ask away and make me an offer if anyone is interested! Ideally I would like $16,000 for it but any offer around that area would be considered. If the price is right I might accept it... so go ahead! ? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1400269772&ed=true 20170804_183337.mp4

I'm planning to use an aftermarket ecu. I have been looking at Link, but its an area I know very little about so open to opinions and advice.

Re the E85 idea.... it's worth considering the stoichiometric air/fuel mixture ratio for petrol is approximately 14.7:1, with ethanol it is around 9.79:1. That means you need a lot more fuel. Sooo in fuel-injected applications you may need to upgrade the injectors and you're fuel pump - then it's a matter of tuning it to suit, no idea if the stock DME can handle that. Probably not worth the extra work, I'd stick to premium 98, the closest fuel the engine was developed for.

Everything and anything I post on Bimmersport is my own private, personal opinion, it is in no way meant to be representative of BMW Group NZ or any other branch of BMW. I am often caught between giving out information and my position and I always have to err on the side of safety, there are very strict guidelines on this subject area. The answers to your questions would change from minute to minute and hour by hour, so that again that is why I would not post such information even if I had it. So all I can say, is if you are unsure, then please contact your local dealer, with your chassis number, and they will be able to give you the current situation for your vehicle. Peace out.

From the photo it says those tyres are from 2013. It's hardly new. I would just fit 4 new normal tyres and sell your good rft rear pair

I'm pretty happy how quick it spools up and yeah over 3.5k its just lethal haha. 1st and 2nd are a laugh and 3rd is where it decides to grip (just) and go Cheers Toby, final tune was at 16, although since driving it out the last few days I've noticed pretty bad creep so I'm gonna have to fix that somehow. No o-ring, Cometic MLS head gasket instead which is proving to be all good.

MHD is highly recommended. Huge abundance of info online that will answer everything. I am pretty sure there are more tuned 335i's on the road than stock it seems

In a brighter note the local dealer has ordered an airbag for the second recall on air bags for my imported e46 m3. Gets installed next month. Came across this the other day. http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/05/18/528966358/4-car-companies-settle-takata-airbag-lawsuit-for-553-million

Just picked up a new shopping wagon of sorts after a very long time of deliberation. I am sure it will turn into a project of some sorts. Daylight and photos to come. Needs a major screen upgrade, super dated.

In my years of searching the internet I have not come across such a good Wheel size calculator as this. HERE It is very simple to use, it explains absolutely everything about the fitment. It even compares the old fitment (OEM or not) to the new fitment in detail. The picture below is just a screen cap and example of what it can do and the info you can get.
