Is it because they write them off every time a bird shits on the bonnet?

Just spotted this: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/540i/listing/3699135437 Have not seen a factory manual E39 540i for sale in ages, let alone an NZ New one! Anyone know how many came to NZ? Less than 20 E34 540i/6s came to NZ so I'm guessing even less for E39... Wonder what the reserve is....

Awesome spot @Jun! i’m aware of at least 6 e31’s that reside in the Wellington region. This would make 7 if it is not just visiting 😁

That OZ 130i is pretty much perfect spec. White on brown, manual, sunroof, facelift.

You shouldn't need a valuation these days. You agree to a value and you pay for that. E.g. I told classic car insurance my racecar was worth $*0,000 with its spares. This value was what I think it would cost to replace everything. They came up with what that would cost me. I was happy with that and away we go. The only time I would bother getting a car valued would be if I had no idea what it's worth, or I needed something external for legal reasons.

Will work fine on Japanese imports, I'm sure there are Wellington members here that have a means to code for you.

Saw this 850ci this morning. I am only aware of @treone 840i as the 8-series on Wellington.

If anyone knows good websites at competitive prices for OEM M Performance or better for my 2016 F22 M235i, please post here. e.g. considering / on the hunt for an M2 exhaust. As I work with my project I will post what I find, where I find it, how it looks over here if anyone else is looking at doing the same. If I slightly deviate I will explain why. Look forward to all the advice and feedback.

Hi, it’s so good to be back here after a few years. Bought this baby over the weekend from Auckland City BMW. It’s an F22 M235i. My favourite thing about Mr Grey, is his colour obviously. I would love to add all the OEM M performance parts to keep him authentic BMW. If you know the best place and prices I can get his bits shipped to New Zealand, please let me know. So happy to be part of the BMW family again.

I'm sure you know that the "BMW tax" is very high on OEM parts, and that non-OEM are often considerably cheaper. But if you do want the real thing, the cheapest way I have found is to use realoem to get the correct part numbers, then see if https://www.emiauto.eu/en/ has them. They have been consistently the cheapest source I have found for OEM parts (but they are a little slow, and there is the mental hurdle of having parts shipped from Latvia to overcome!).
