That Something Else was me [you can see my shadow] That F**ken Dog thinks I'm a Urinal, an Gus a Sexual Object Haha! Give Me a call when you are in Tauranga [pm me and I'll give you my phone numbers]
-
the formula is: [RPM x TYRE DIAMETER inches] divided by [OVERALL RATIO x 336] = MPH or [MPH x 336 x OVERALL RATIO] divided by [TYRE DIAMETER inches]= RPM
-
An E30 with a 0.82 fifth and a 4.1 rear has a total of 3.36 overall ratio [2700 RPM @ 60MPH with a 25"diameter tyre][excuse imperial figures] An E36 with a 1:1 fifth and a 3.63 would be revving at 2927RPM @ 60MPH with a 25" tyre It all depends on what gearbox you are using

If you all think it's overpriced, then stay away from the auction [The free market will eventually determine it's true value] That seller shouldn't answer those comments $20k is getting into the bottom end of E30 M3 territory [being RARE and being DESIRABLE are two different things] My Brother is constantly GETTING over $100k for old mustangs [yankee XF's], Remember the Market determines the value [not the product] All you E30 owners should hope he actually gets his price [it will have a flow on effect for all the cars you guys already own]

I bet that Race-FX won't be installing those stupid f**ken 'Lambo' doors ,they're highly frowned on by the racing community [Try opening them when the cars been "tipped on it's lid"]
-
There is nothing wrong with offering that car as a trade [the seller can say no], It's just a question of $$ values [both ways] I think his attitude has burnt his chances of anyone negotiating with him
-
The E30 still has a cult status in NZ [thats why the M52 hasn't been modded much] When BMW built the M52B28 they didn't want a high revving animal [the M3 catered for that] What BMW did was stroke out a 2.5 & add a 2.0 intake [to get good air velocity at lower RPM & good torque at part throttle cruising] they also altered the rear ratio [2.92] as well M3 cams ,2.5 intake, Exhaust mods,3.42 diff would really wake up a M52 [for a street thrasher]

That Seller has highly developed 'Sales Skills' Read his answers in the 'Questions' Talk about not burning your bridges

Hey Gus, get out that Ball-peen! There's work to do!
-
I didn't laugh "honestly" haha! How fast was she driving that mobility scooter to nail that Armco like that ,it still has opposite lock on the front wheels Add a harness & helmets and we could have a new form of motorsport [for those too old to cut it in F1]
-
What positive thing can you say? Well, if you spend that sorta money on a car, someones wife and kids won't go hungry.
-
Also get those 'M' spec front and rear sway bars that "3 pedals" is selling only 150 pacific peso's
-
Yeah , I just found your other posting Hey Welcome to Bimmersport
-
They need them because the door locks freeze up in the winter! Welcome to the forum Chris! I'd be interested to know more about the 'Viper 2' remap, was it done to a Siemens or a Bosch DME?

The only diff that can handle a Donut is a straight 100% locker [spool or detroit] Because you are going in circles the inside wheel always wants too spin [the heat & loads generated will explode the spider gears] A LSD can be worse [during donuts]because of the friction generated in the clutch packs [even the trusty 'bulletproof' 9 inch ford will explode] Just Keep replacing them until you decide to change your driving style

What a piece of junk, Modifying a perfectly good car by adding all this tupperware. Now it looks like one of those transformer toys for a 3 year old He should of built a countach replica [they have the same wank factor]
-
Hey Emma the stuff is called '3M very high bond' tape! It is used by coachbuilders to stick panels to framework [eg; Luton bodies on trucks etc] I've seen aluminium rip trying to pull it off afterwards It needs 48 hours to cure properly. I have no idea how many ''Pacific Peso's" for the stuff [try and scrounge some from a Coachbuilder or panelbeater]

check your Brake-Light Switch under the brake pedal ,sometimes they can be faulty [use a multimeter] sometimes they come loose [the switch is on all the time] If that isn't the solution, pull the fuse. If they are still on then there is a short somewhere

I had considered a 13B chook engine, that'll stir up the brethren

Love the thread title "85 XF Falcon Dick Johnson Replica". Do you have any pictures of it mate? History knows that Dicky raced an XE Falcon in group 'C' specs ,then switched to a Zakspeed built Mustang with Greens Tuff colours for group 'A' [this car is now sitting in original condition in East Auckland for the last 15 years] The XF was never campaigned as a touring car as they never had a V8 homologated

Hey StylesM5, you are a man that had a good grasp on your education! have you ever thought about reminiscing you past [build a herald into a drift racer] So you'll be getting Whiplashed Eyeballs this weekend at the A1? [cars'n'babes] I'll be there, I'll try and catch up with Gus & Andy. [hopefully we might meet each other]
