They're really safe when the car tips over, you cant open them. $1000 for wank factor [you're better off welding your doors shut like the "General Lee"]
-

Harden up Bro!! [haha!] I know dudes that are racing [& winning] at 70 As you age, common sense prevails over bravery [which helps on the track] You don't want too much common sense though [ common sense & racing seem to contradict each other "financially"] Bumps shouldn't hurt [impact does sometimes] Remember: THE MORE THAT I RISK DEATH. THE MORE ALIVE I FEEL!

$20k will buy a tow-bar for your car [including a trailer and a cheap club-racer] Grow Old Disgracefully!! You now live at Taupo, there's a track on centenial drive/broadlands road Have Fun!!

The FIA has banned any chemical supercharging [alcohol fuels are only allowed in historics, if they used alcohol as their original fuel in their heyday] The Power Boost button is quite simple, It gives the engine another 500rpm [torque x rpm = hp] the A1 engines are over engineered then limited back to 9700rpm [10200rpm on the button] The power boost is only effective at the top-end of each Gear [eg holding out the revs]and gives no advantage off the corners

Yeah! Spanners Watson & Randy Campbell provide great inspiration! [mainly drinking 'Jim' tho] These guys were years ahead of Jackass when they started out. I sent a Video of the series to a mate in "politically correct California", He couldn't believe this was on Public Television over here!

NO, only M50's and newer. BMW created Vanos to get good top-end power without too much cam duration, and also get good bottom-end power at the same time with long duration cams a lot of cylinder pressure is lost during 'valve overlap' [a big cause of unburnt hydrocarbons/smog] plus the long duration cam wont idle as good or produce bottom-end power with vanos you can use a shorter duration cam for Idle/Smog/Bottom-end reasons and alter the lobe separation to recover at the top-end

Bugger! I was thinking about changing my name to "Anonymous" Then I could offend everyone with total disregard or political correctness Hahahaha!

I assume you're talking 'aftermarket' Tacho here [the shiftlight clue] All aftermarket rev counting devices [Tachometers, Limiters,Shift lights etc] have 3 main wires Red = Switchable power [ignition] Black = Earth Green = Negative side of coil [signal] White = to instrument lights [Tachos sometimes have a 4th wire] Wire to Gearbox??? I assume you meant Flywheel ps. the above works commonly with single coil ignitions
-
Mine did that! I found out the my key was slow returning [holding the starter on] so I used Graphite powder in the ignition barrel just check yours out to see if it's similar
-
No offence Mate!, I've played with Toploaders, Muncies, T10's,T5's, Rockets,Dubby's, Jerico's,and Hewlands [plus a few jappas], If you are interested I'd like to pull one apart & fix it at the same time [maybe do a posting here] Most gearbags are simple, you need to know their individual traits thats all!!!

Go to pelicanparts.com Tech Articles to see how its done! Remember the yanks have Bosch Motronic DME's in their cars [we usually have the siemens unit]
-
Oil change it TWICE, the first time with cheap 'thin' oil and some engine flush [the crud has to go somewhere, and engine flush doesn't work too good in sludge] Then put the good oil in This works on Subaru's [so does a crusher!]
-
Do you want to 'Lend' me one so I can pull it apart and have a look inside? they can't be too difficult [they are man-made afterall]
-
The ghetto method is to use a pair of vise grips on the brake hoses in the rear But it will damage the hoses [do so at your own risk, if somebody gets hurt I'll laugh!] I have seen a switchable solenoid in the rear brakes made from a CNG high pressure solenoid [free from most wreckers] Drag racers use a similar system on the front wheels to prevent roll-out, but give instant release upon launching [they hold the brakes and lock the solenoid]
-
Easy Diagnosis! 3rd and 4th use the same shift hub, so if you have to hold pressure [both ways] to keep it in gear it mean the main shaft is spreading apart from the input shaft [3rd is on the mainshaft, 4th is on the input] . . . .So you have either collapsed the bearing at the back of the gearbox [causing the mainshaft to float back] or you have collapsed the input shaft bearing [causing the input to float forward] If the gearbox rumbles in neutral 99% of the time it's the input bearing. If the gearbox whines in 1st,then the whine gets quieter in 2nd, and even more quieter in 3rd it's usually the rear bearing [the loads are greater on the bearing in first] Don't be scared of gearboxes, they are simple to fix [compared to engines] I've repaired dozens of boxes [how I broke them is a different story]

You should change ya name back to "mrhamwallet",From a music perspective that name has respect [also from a music perspective the name "Gary" reminds me of that deviant locked up in a Vietnam jail! Hahahaha!]

It Needs Punishing [give it a good beating] Had a Mitsi Pajero [as a work horse] that had 9 flat tyres in 6 years [2 on the same stetch of metal road] probably serves me right for owning it that long

Write a letter in such a way that it appears to be a complaint about the officer risking the lives of others due to Medical Emergency, Use the Medical report from the Hospital as evidence. Now...Before you post the letter get it sworn by a JP [or better still get the courthouse to notorise it]This gives your letter Legal credibility If you do use the Media, compare it with the Taranaki Cop that got DIC'd at a fatal accident [he got a commendation from the judge]
