  1. I've had to do this so many times with mates cars and customers who can't find the key in the past. Ever wonder how the scum bags get your wheels off without your nut key?.... same ole 21mm socket and hammer. I was just at a mates tyre shop today, and watched him whack a crossbrace over a locknut as you suggested [6 point hex] he said the cheap crossbraces worked best ,as they bite into the locknuts better It worked a treat [nothing is scumbag proof]
  2. Hey Ollie thats brilliant sh*t, summed up marriage perfectly!! As the Saying goes:" Me and my wife were happy for twenty years, then we met each other"
  3. You need a 'Cold Chisel' made from Hex steel extrusion [most are] Whack the chisel in diagonally across the rounded hex [Gus's special hammer is needed here] Use a cresent spanner on the 'shank' of the chisel to crack them loose This method has always worked for me [except I use finnese, not Gus's hammer]
  4. Thats Reece Millen [steve Millens son] he did all the stunts on the "Dukes" and the "Tokyo Drift" movies, he's pretty good
  5. After My 'Rant' about politics I thought I can now add a comment to Hoves statement A couple of years ago, I threw a $900 dollar crossflow 'grenade' into my Mk1 lotus [while the twincam was getting rebuilt] this engine was running 14.5:1 compression I was blending Avgas with a 17% mix of de-natured Ethanol,+ some MEK & acetone to hold the brew together[any higher & the oil/water brew will separate] Now Petrol needs a 14:1 air/fuel ratio Methanol needs approx 8:1 [so It is instantly too lean once its mixed] Ethanol is closer to Petrol at 11:1 [so a simple 'Jet' change was all that was needed] A mate of mine tested the sh*t at a Lab, it was 124 octane, the Avgas was a good brew at that time of 112 octane [nominal 108,minimum100] so I gained 12 points I did better lap times with this engine than the twin cam.I have no idea of the horsepower it made, but it could have been my lack of 'mechanical sympathy' to a $900 engine [ps: MANZ will suspend your license if caught doing this nowadays] If anybody is interested in Biodiesel, I have a good friend who makes the sh*t [he does seminars] he uses it daily in his truck driving school. pm me & I'll forward his details
  6. Labour vs National blah blah blah! Don't vote at all [unless you want to complain] Remember: Guy Fawkes was the only man in history that really understood politics
  7. whay f**k around, i believe this tool would have been far more efficient!!!
  8. so you think you are a good driver, doing skids with locked diffs, 20" rims, big bores and turbos screaming in a two door vehicle, the following vehicle fits the above criteria but....... this man is truely talented. Check this link out!
  9. 318's and some 320's like mine used the smaller diff sounds like you've got a 328 auto diff [try & get the correct axles & D/shaft, you'll be much better off] I've got the correct auto shaft if needed [$50 ,if it don't fit you dont have to buy] one question ,Do the cv's bolt up? If they do get 2 spacers machined up & use longer bolts [grade 12 cap screws]
  10. They have to be ground, not machined down with a lathe! if your discs are buckled [shuddering thru the pedal] throw them away [use 2nd hand,If you want to stay with the "cheap' theme] If you really want to be "cheap" you can grind them yourself, pm me and I'll tell you how [total cost $15] [my legal defence will cost a shitload more. Haha!]
  11. HAHAHAHA! I knew a guy that popped a tyre with only one 6 metre burnout Go figure
  12. Just invite Andrew and Gus around for a few drinks, they'll teach you [or your liver a lesson]
  13. I see there's a critic expressing his opinion about your 'literature' on the boot, with a sledge hammer [nobody appreciates art these days hahahaha!]

    VIR Check

I will do it for a bottle of Jim Beam [1 litre, I'm not gready]
  15. With Re-cond ,I presume you mean grinding them down. Weigh up the costs vs life expectancy etc
  16. Get a non-vanos intake cam & sprocket and front timing cover, and get rid of the vanos completely [someone will buy the vanos unit off you] There are plenty of cooked heads around with good cams in them
  17. Why, is yours rattling? Unplug the vanos solenoid first [that disconnects it] to remove it ,you will need a non-vanos intake cam & cam sprocket [longer duration] The short duration vanos-cam locked would be so gutless it wouldn't pull the skin off a rice-pudding!
  18. It's a Bond "Equipe" I think [it's quite embarrassing to answer this] Some old Bearded Pommy Git, who wears sandals and socks on the beach might find this cool!
  19. And the Mig Welded one was a retro-fitted option on 320 autos! Hahahahahahaha!
  20. Don't have to bother mate! They're culling themselves off. Hey I neither saw the program, But I heard it was made in the USA [The country that runs on fast-food, then they built the Hummer so they can take their fat kids to school] Then the poor disillusioned sods think we all want to be like them Don't take those stupid pricks as gospel!

    M50 vs. M52

Except for USA, some UK , and SA most M52's had alloy block, and the 2.8 could only be had as a M52
  22. It all depends on how you interprete the statistics! At one stage the safests cars were the Mark III Zephyr, and the HQ Holden [they were responsible for the increase in the population] Remember, [Play Safe! "Accidents Cause People"]
  23. I wrecked out a 328 M52 manual [cooked engine] everything bolted into a 320 M50 powered E36 Absolutely no fabrication was required for the swap

    car covers

Wrong, a fabric breathes AIR not moisture [which is trapped underneath] I'm currently involved in the Textile game making structures etc , no such fabric exists or we'd be using it on a $500,000 structure

    car covers

If it's waterproof & keeps the water out, it'll also keep the moisture in! condensation is a killer of car parts in general I'll try an dry everything before & more importantly after usage In my garage when I used a car cover, the condensation was worse than a 'flysheet' on a tent! The cause was the ex wife using the clothes dryer all the time, so be aware of this! So I personally aren't in favour of them
