E28 or E34 ? you are all wrong, I'm willing to bet money on it.

Don't worry mate, We are all idiots playing with cars ,Haha! When I was 17 I had an oportunity to stick a needle in my arm! I'd be dead now and I would've spend a shitload less money [than racing & cars]

My only other toy right now is the E36 coupe,I want to Race it ,But my new girlfriend wants to use it.I'll wait until the novelty wears off [the girlfriend for me,or the car for her] I'm presently chasing down a 1986 white 635 coupe thats begging me to put a rollcage in her. It'll make a good replica of the schnitzer 635's with the bmw parts 'paint job'. 2 years ago my racecar hobby was a little more than a mild obsession. I owned [all at the same time] ,The Corvette, a Mk1 Lotus Cortina, a Mk2 Hatchback Capri, a Gen 3 IROC Camaro,[all Race cars] when I added a Gen 4 SCCA Camaro to my collection my [ex]wife got a tad upset [they never understand do they?] so I had to do a bit of a garage sale. Take some advice from me : IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A SMALL FORTUNE FROM RACING, START WITH A LARGE ONE!

Yeah the wife left me because of 'the mistress'.[ I missed my wife, but with a little practice my aim should improve,Haha] She's pretty staunch . 7700cc of lazy hp [612hp & 659ft/lb's of torque] When I last had her out on a date [Tar Hill rd in the Tokoroa forest] We done a hill climb, It just Ate the hill like nothing "145mph at the Top" on a loggong truck rd with a passenger GOOD FUN!!!

Legality of Custom BBS RS 16x11 - instant pink sticker?
kerrynzl replied to wms's topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
get hold of Lance Bell [Arrow Wheels on Patiki Rd ,Avondale] If you are going to widen 3 piece wheels, get the bands made to your requirements. then "Westie Mod" wheel spacers won't be needed [sink your money into the wheels not spacers] If you fit up your existing wheels to your car, it will be easy to measure how much Offset & Backspace you require Arrow Wheels are a good quality Regards Kerry -
It is called an 'Oil Cooler Adapter Pad' or block, a good source of oil coolers in Auckland is Autoquip Marketing on Dominion rd [they import them]

Hey Brent, a 1.05am posting! Do you sleep? Or does sleep interfere with your plans? Haha!

In race cars it depends on driving style [or rules] ,I remember in the early 90's when Lotus F1 were using open diffs ,they also had traction control and very stiff front roll couple [monoshock front with zero body roll] the theory is to design traction into the package [not use a diff to recover lost traction] Now, I'm a V8 driver so I love the 'kidney punch' off the corners when the car hooks up so I cannot promote using a locked rear-end enough [as long as the suspension package is compatible] remember If your car is going to understeer,a locked rear makes it worse [dial the car's suspension in first] On the street? If you paid approx $1000 for a slipper that would be cheap compared to the mods required to make your suspension more compatible [remembera street car is an 'All Rounder']Who wants to change the diff everytime you need a WOF? attached is a pic of my old vintage racer "the Mistress"[sitting in my driveway]

AC Schnitzer wheels belong on your car.[Won't hurt resale, Looks cool] Check out Trade-Me auction #63569562 their are some cheapies for sale right now! 16 x 8's [everyone wants 17's] but if you use low profile 16's & M-spec springs [or reset your stock springs] your car will look the part [cheap as well]

Cresents are cool, the cheapest portable lathe money can buy [they round off anything] You like Whacking Off a Tie Rod End? or Whacking Off with a Tie Rod End?

On my journey into the unknown [doing a manual conversion on a M50 E36] I have stumbled upon a 325 manual conversion in a rusty 325i E36 that is for sale

Reminds me of when you could buy a 1/2 race or 3/4 race or full-race cam .The Poms still sell cylinder heads this way [stage 1 or stage 2 whatever?] Race spec chip? what sort of racing? [Tractor pulls? Oval track?] seriously if there are customers out there, maybe I could get a stamp cutter to help me build my own "race spec" chips to sell cheap [on Exchange Basis] Don't expect miracles from it [the guy on Trade-Me didn't]

P.S. I'm confused on how you perform a manual conversion on a manual. The Mystery unfolds ! Very Simple! I have this gorgeous E36 M-spec coupe in Red with 17" BBS wheels that I don't drive at all [because it's a slushbox] I'll convert that to manual for a Toy [then I'll trick up the M52 for it] I have a girlfriend that loves the car,but can only drive autos. See! I Have Just Solved Two Problems In One Go! How do I contact Richard ?[Or can you get him to contact me?]

Hey Guys or Gals, I'm cannibalising a perfectly good 1996 E36 328 manual [some people think I should be lynched for doing this!] Anyway, I'm keeping all the Running Gear for a manual conversion[including the clutch pedal], The Engine [including Computor & Engine loom],The Fuel Pump, The Exhaust system ,The Stereo System. I have Sold, The Left Taillight, The Windscreen Washer System,The Seats Carpets Door Panels & Kick Panels. I want to sell the rest as a Rolling Body, Including Alloys[good tyres],Factory alarm,All the glass Etc [in fact it will be complete except for the above mentioned] It is quite Straight,Rust & Damage Free. This car had only just got a WOF when the motor was cooked 6 months ago. IT IS UNENCUMBERED, AND TITLED,AND STILL REGISTERED UNTIL FEBRUARY 2007. so if somebody wants a cheap Beemer for a Restoration or a Rotary Conversion [or whatever],or maybe for a Dog Kennel. Please Contact Me Have Fun Everyone

The trust car is a M6, This One is getting a makeover as well [belongs to a lucky guy in Indianapolis USA] enclosed is a pic of Liu Gigliotti's 1993 Championship winning World Challenge Camaro [another Toy I've found, now residing in NZ]

How about a 1971 McLaren M8F CanAm Car [8 litre 750hp, 1350lbs, politically incorrect brawler] This baby may lack a few creature comforts, but she'll bounce ya eyeballs into the back of ya skull! Hey Steve,Quick thinking, you beat me to it . Brilliant [or thick] minds think alike. Haha! The Pic I posted, Is the Denny Hulme 1971 CanAm championship winning car [it is parked on my trailer in my driveway when the pic was taken] The car is still in New Zealand [At a Secret Squirrel Location]

No Sweat Mate, Can do better than that! How about glueing a M-Tech Wing to the bonnet of your E30

YOU ARE RIGHT: WHO CARES? in this world of demand and supply, what he is doing is increasing the values of original 6ers by taking one out of circulation, along with all the rust buckets in the UK [it will probably end up as cheap parts for an enthusiast] Thats what I meant about 'ruining the pedigree' by building a hybrid.

The 426 hemi was rated at 425hp in a production car [thats 60.88hp/litre]most of these engines were strangled at the carb so they had a shitload of torque below 5000rpm [a simple mod was a bigger carb] interesting comments about engine design:In 1929 Vitorio Jano designed a straight 8 cylinder engine, alloy block, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder, supercharged, for the Alfa Romeo 8C [it revved to 9500rpm which in 1929 would have stretched metallurgy to thelimit] The problem with this 6 series, is that he ruined the pedigree [6's are cool, remember the Frank Gardiner JPS 6er driven by Jim Richards]we can all argue over the merits of [this engine or that engine etc]but you have to ask yourself if this swap is acceptable in this car,and who's going to buy it [an E30 with a Rotor is OK today, but try another 20years] I agree about the V8's at Puke',I race a V8 myself [gets 170mph on the back straight]Good Fun one of my best [recent] memories at Puke' was Jason Richards screaming that 3series Beemer over the mountain in the wet, He was Tapped-out & not backing off [every race-car has some sort of merit, not just V8's]

I'm thinking about boring right thru the existing bores and pressing in iron [diesel] liners I think I can push a wet sleeve [Diesel liner block to 87mm] most dry sleeve blocks are siamesed [if this is the case in the BMW M52 then 89mm bores are posible] combine that with a 89.5 stroke= 3341cc [i'll need some 320i nana badges for my sleeper] If I weld the crank and offset grind the journals ,& use 180B nissan rods I think I could swing a 92mm arm. Thats 3435cc [perfect for a M-spec tractor] All these mods were 1960's technology [bruce McLaren on the Reynolds 390 alloy CanAm engines '540cu in'] Simple huh!
