Sorry Gus,, done 4 conversions now, and used the auto starter every time. Never had any problems other than one which wouldn't go on the dowel properly, and took a bit of hitting to get it to seat right.

E28 changed the spline in 1985, all wheels after that date will fit the E30, before that they had a coarser spline and don't fit.

He's had to pull the plug, his neck's not up to it. Damn.

A lot of the guys are running the et15 rims, and no one has any ongoing issues with rubbing that I know of now. We push the cars pretty hard thru the corners, and if there was going to be a problem, we would have found it. ps, would like a set please.
-
We have to fold up the little lip on the back guards on the facelift cars, but once that's done they're fine, better still on the prefacelift cars.
-
+1 for et15, but would like mine in gold with silver lip please.

Are you talking about this one? http://www.groundsky.co.nz/index.php?Actio...;EntrantID=7906 It's just had a new reg, so would guess it's still in the country, and only a CSI. http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=awr471&search=Check -
So, what week night would suit most people?
-
Was thinking more once a month, or even 6 weekly, Tony.
-
Agreed, thought Tuesdays or Wednesdays would be best. No license needed as far as I can recall, but we would want a NZ drivers license I think, for safety's sake. You would just have to sign a disclaimer regarding damage etc. Driver is responsible for their own car, and repairing any track damage they cause, although with the runoffs at Hampton I doubt you could do much at all.
-
Just putting this out there to see if there's any interest in twilight week nights at the Hampton track. Twilight bookings are from 4.30 to 7.00. Wasn't looking at competitive track time ie. racing, more like what we get with track days at Puke, only as a group, so we get the whole 2.5 hrs. It would be ideal for track experience, and car setups etc. I thought a mix of bimmersporters and race guys as it would benefit both. Maybe look at once a month during the season, and $50 a head if we could get 10 guys who wanted to do it on a regular basis, that would cover the $500 a time hire cost. Thought if we got enough interest, and charged $50 a head, if we got more than the hire cost, it could go into a kitty, and go towards hiring the intermediate track when enough money had built up. Would require the usual safety requirements, ie. cotton overalls, helmut, and fire extinguisher, but won't require NZMS approval.

No Andy, just to let the wind blow free.

New coat of paint, polished bumpers and trim, waiting on mtech rear spoiler, and alpina front to be painted, then rest of the stickers and the new motor and box.
-
Now that sounds better to me, gives you some incentive to work with the car between events as well.
-
Hey James, just a thought, but wouldn't you be better to up the Dollar value to around the $1500 mark as a buy price? Thought being, that at $700 you will be getting a few suspect cars which will be naturally unsafe, dangerous, and likely to drop their guts all over the track. At $1500, which is still very cheap and affordable, you will at least be able to get something which can still be sound and more safe. Just my 2c worth.

Head's ali, so can't weld a stud in there. As Glenn says, either get it out, or live without it, or get a new head, or you may be able to fit a new thread if you can get it out without too much damage.

I have no problem recommending King springs having used them for 4 years now in E30 and E28 race cars. Excellent service and quality, and can't recall anyone having any problems with them in the race series.
-
If it's one of the silver composite ones, I put the panel on them, haha.
-
Just send them up to me Martyn, I'll look after them for you. ps. they will fit the E23 745 won't they?
-
Hell, had that happen to me once.
-
You need a 17x8 or 8.5 inch for the NZV8 ones.
