Not too surprising I guess. The German car manufacturer, who took over Sauber in 2005, have cited "current developments in motor sport" as the reason for their pull-out. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport...one/8173865.stm

There's a bleed screw on top of the same fitting you're taking off to do the thermostat. After you've done the thermo, fill the radiator and run the engine till the thermo opens, then open the bleed screw until it runs straight water with no bubbles coming out, then do it up.

You'll lose a little water out the front, but I don't drain to do the thermostat. If you don't drain it, it's easier to refill and bleed.

It's behind the radiator return pipe on the front of the head below the distributor, 3 x 10mm bolts, easy as.

Check again Mike, no M30 has that big a stroke.

I believe the BMW special cars had their own sequential serial numbers, which are unrelated to the std BMW serial, and don't come up on places like realoem etc. This also occurs with the SA cars, and some of the earlier cars as well.

If the car's 4 mts, the yachts got to be 20mts, 60 plus feet.

Felipe Massa in life threatening condition after crash

Autosport Henry Surtees, the son of 1964 Formula 1 world champion John Surtees, has died following an accident in a Formula 2 race at Brands Hatch on Sunday. During the second of the weekend's races, the 18-year-old was struck on the head by a wheel and tyre from the car of Jack Clarke, who had spun into the wall exiting Westfield Bend. Surtees was knocked unconscious in the accident and his car failed to negotiate the following Sheene Corner, running straight off the track and into the barrier. Medical crews were swiftly on the scene to extract Surtees from the car, before he was taken to the track's medical centre. He was stabilised at the circuit's facility before being airlifted to the Royal London hospital. A spokesperson for the hospital this evening confirmed that Surtees had died from his injuries. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06dsOwfe7xo Can happen to anyone. -
One of Will's, so will be a genuine car.

Could be the main power relay on it's way out, it's behind the cover on the firewall in the engine bay, the white one if I remember correctly.

Also, get error message saying I don't have permission to view.

According to my info, Alpina made a C1 2.3, based on the 323 in 1983, then a C2 2.5, from July 1985 to September 1987, based on the 525e block, with 323 internals, 2494cc. Then came the C2 2.7, first built in Feb 1986, and based on the 325i block with the 324td crank. Synters were not making a C2 2.5 Alpina in 1989 when this was produced.

Yeah, got bitch-slapped real hard.

What will be will be. I'll just look harder at a coupe conversion if it goes much higher.

Been around for a while now. Big yankee diving board bumpers.

AFAIK it won't fit. Same basic block but different galleries I believe.

About bloody time.

Thanks Jon. It's just that sometimes even I don't know whether I'm coming or going. So, now I'm thinking maybe coupe body with the roof extended back using a 4 door cut roof, joining it just behind the B pillar?
-
Are they BMW or after market, like the E28 touring, where you could buy the kit and do it yourself? They look just like I thought they would, and if the dimensions are right, the M3 wings should drop on. I was looking at this, http://www.dtmpower.net/forum/e30-3-series...ch-project.html
-
From what I can understand, the way to do it would be to cage it first, welding the cage to the roof and gutters, to stop the roof from moving when the B pillar is cut out. Then reweld the B pillar back where it needs to be.

Just looking at that touring in Dunedin and wondering. What if it was converted to a two door, fitted with M3 guards, and lumped with either a race prepped M30, or a M88, M5 engine, both of which I happen to have acquired? I realise it would be a lot of work, but can imagine it would look rather nice. I'd only have two windows on the side with the coupe conversion. Anyone got a few minutes to photoshop me an example? It's my bid on the touring by the way.

Don't think they need to be fixed, but they need to be the same diameter as your hub, and have the centering ring for the wheel, and be less than 25mm from memory?
