The M40 sump is a 2 piece sump, and the bit that's still attached is part of the upper piece, so you need to find both. Chances are that the motor's ok, but time will tell I guess. You'll need to check that the oil pickup hasn't been damaged as well, it sits down in the front lower sump, the bit you've broken off. I've bought a couple of cars like this which have been lowered too far and smashed the sump, been good buys. I've got a lot of the bits you need if Mosen's haven't, just pm me if you need them.

I'd say, just well used.

To get the front wheels to sit with the right castor you need the M3 EVO front arms, the straight M3 ones won't help.

They've changed addy, try http://www.bmwclub.co.nz/

Might suggest the first engine number Mike posted is the vin for the motor, would make it a 733 from an early E23, makes sense.
-
Hi Mike, what are the last 7 numbers of the vin?

15x7's will be the easier/cheaper option to get race rubber for.OK then, Borbets.

Have had a similar thing, was a dry joint on one of the feeds to the pump where you lifted the back seat. I pulled the plug off the tank pump and squeezed the plug a little bit to make it a tight fit when I put it back on, works fine now. Worth a go.

Fargo pads come from Interpart, Paul Olson, #14, from Petone. I've been using them on the E28 Race car for the whole of last season, and would recommend them without hesitation. Only used one set, and didn't hit anything, touch wood.

and so it starts.

Haha, pawned boys.

I use E32 740's on the front, and e34 540's on the back, on the race car. I feel the heat is distributed better with more steel, and the backs are vented now. I't's all about keeping them as cool as you can.

Reserve was $1900, and not met.

Get a set of std springs, will get rid of your camber problem straight away, camber increases when the car goes lower, the lower you go, the more camber. Toe on rear is normally due to age and the back wheels having been knocked around a bit, the trailing arms get bent and twisted. We changed the trailing arms and got the rear ok again, but can take a few different arms to find a good pair. Fit new rear bushes to the trailing arms at the same time, easy job.

No problem Dan, car's going to look awesome. Have most E28 bits if you need anything.
