  1. You could buy a kit to convert a sedan to a touring, or pay someone to do it.
  2. Yep, and cheap chip upgrade and 4.1 LSD. C'mon Friday.
  3. Only someone phishing for the reserve, bet they don't bid again. He doesn't know a lot about the cars, my M535i is genuine, and automatic.
  4. Can't help sorry, I'm using rubber mounts. Car's ready for the weekend's racing now, latest pic, minus the front skirt.
  5. In today's market, my estimate would be closer to 7 than 8, and nowhere near 12? Mine's an auto, and I would expect around 4, if anyone's interested? Trouble with bidding up to find the reserve, is that the seller then thinks he's in the right area with his price.
  6. Good luck, got mine undone with a big air ratchet, were very tight.Got my 4.1 LSD back today to fit.
  7. Yes, if you can find a small case LSD, there are some around but quite rare.

    E21 LSD

I have a guy in the States who sends me LSD centers, I'll see if he can get any small ones, probably around $6 to $7 hundred tho, are you interested? Diff specs in Manukau will do a pinion and ring gear swap for $200.
  12. Didn't recognize myself at first, but when I saw Brian on one side and Glenn on the other I knew it must be me in the middle.
  13. Happy Birthday Brent, see you tomorrow?
  14. Pet hate of mine is people withdrawing auctions when the reserve's been met.
  15. Sounds like Jim Wallace's, can"t remember who built that, but Conrad could.
  16. Kym, check the HT leads, I've had some problems with mine, hard to start and missing, fitted a new set and fine.
  17. Yeah, we use r888's, but as an all round tyre with some wet use I've been told the RA1 is a better tyre, even tho Toyo no longer produce them. They do still have a few left here tho I believe. The R888 is a bit grippier I think, but that has a downside in that it's a bit softer and wears a bit more. The RX7's used the RA1 until they were no longer available, and the poms also used them in their series in the early days. Mr E30 series over here, Mark Babb, reckons they're very good, and that's good enough for me.
  18. Brent, i've just bought a set of Toyo RA1's, supposedly the best general track tyre you can get that's road legal. Got them direct from Nationwide Tyres, the toyo importers, for $780 delivered.
  19. I ran drums for my first season and a half, stopped the car OK.
  20. Fairly easy, you can do it by just unbolting the two swing arms and changing them, or take the whole subframe out, Faster to do the swing arm way, no need to drop diff or exhaust. Undo the two brake lines near the diff, and the handbrake cables in the car. Then take the wheels off, and undo the shock and remove the spring, undo the socket bolts on the half shafts. Undo the 2 bolts on each side which hold the swing arm on, a bit fiddly, but can be done, you may find it easier to take the petrol filler hose off to get better access, should then come out. Fitting disc ones is just the reverse.
  21. Cheers Cam, it's now officially entered for the 24th at Puke.
