    E90 smoking

Valve stem seals are about 2k with the head in place
  2. Now's your chance, $1 reserve and already up to 15k. This will be interesting to see where it ends up https://www.trademe.co.nz/2462389386

    E90 smoking

Probably unlikely to be the CCV (crankcase ventilator) if it's blowing smoke. Usually Doesn't blow smoke until the CCV is replaced as it is now working correctly Easy valve stem seals test is let the car idle for 5mins then rev it hard while stationary, if blows a heap of blue smoke then seals have failed.
  4. Potentially, see what I'm left with once one set sells
  5. Not sure where is at atm can find out when I'm back at work if you like?
  6. Buy some adaptors and whack themon the e30 ?
  7. Yes it did, UK import, poorly spaced, no reverse camera
  8. I can't decide which to keep and sell so I'll let you folk decide for me. Set of 5 style 5s, 17x8 e20 with hub rings as they are off an e39 $1100 have centre caps and tyres are 205/40 and one 225/45? ACS type 1 'monoblocks' 17x8.5 et13 $1800 Both sets in original condition and reasonably tidy for their age. Curbing on a couple of them as shown in photos

    E90 smoking

What colour is the smoke? Is it while the engine is hot or cold?
  10. You mean it's not a corolla and I have to service it ? I don't think we will get the full story on the other two, fresh import f15 from Japan started knocking away. The premier e70 40d a salesman traded without finding put what the check engine light was on for....
  11. One of them hadn't been serviced in 60,000km at all which caused the turbo to go and then no doubt f**ked the bearings as well. Unsure myself what was the cause of the other 2
  12. DPF is prob the main thing I'd look out for. Should hopefully be relativity clean with that sort of mileage but never know
  13. Spotted a prefacelift 4 door tech 1 on sparks road about 415pm today with a bimmersport sticker in the rear window

    New GST import stuff

You're not paying for the 2nd one so no GST collected? Same as if you return it to a store, they don't collect GST on the replacement as no financial transaction has taken place
  15. Could try DCH motorsport. Probably the only ones I know that would have experience in this area in Chch
  16. Awesome! I had a customer drive off the end of our Carpark at work and only had 2 wheels on the ground. Slapped in in reverse and drove off.
  17. There's an e90 at pick a part. All wheels look ok in the photos
  18. Chucked one if these in yesterday along with new power steering lines so hopefully no more leaks. Made some wheel alignment adjustments. So far seems good
  19. V8 for 11k ono https://www.trademe.co.nz/2412795085 3litre petrol for 9k https://www.trademe.co.nz/2446883962 Couple of 30ds on trademe for 10k to but closing in on 300km but they are overpriced in my opinion. Those engines aren't bulletproof, had 3 with bearing failures in the last 6 months
  20. Not really cheap in my opinion. Many can be had for less than 20k even with the big ticket items done

    BMW E9

If it was still original colour, i'd say about $70k right for the price however think it is probably worth closer to $50k Nonetheless, would still kill to have this in my driveway

    M TOY M3

Just because you pass a WOF without them doesn't mean that the OP will. I can guarantee that it is checked but not every inspector is going to know the location of the cats in every vehicle so it can be something over looked. If they have any doubts then they can fail you

    M TOY M3

You do need them for a WOF if they came from factory with one, been like that for a long time https://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof-and-cof/general/exhaust/exhaust-emissions
  24. Yeah it's been on and off trademe, front what I remember someone said that the photos hide a number of blemishes
  25. Is it the original BMW battery? If so, white = lead acid, black = AGM Having thought about it some more, 75aH is unlikely to be original battery as they typically tend to be 70,80,90 etc
