    S54 and s50 exhaust bits

I based it off UK prices as they scrap them for about £800-£1000 for the cats. Since had a few quotes for the cats here which have been next to nothing in comparison so who knows what they are worth here

  9. No sub sorry. The chromatic has gone on the driver's mirror but rest of it is ok
  10. Would you say it's getting worse? Do you know if the HPFP was replaced?
  11. Wof tech in training, needed a 2nd opinion from the foreman.
  12. Yes s50 headers bolt up to the engine no problem. As they are longer than the standard headers you'll need to modify or get a m3 midsection as well
  13. I'm trying to get a gearbox from Christchurch to Whanagnui and Mainfreight said to me yesterday that they aren't doing cash sales at the moment. Might just be a Christchurch thing
  14. Baller. You've got more patience than I'll ever have to do all that!
  15. Picked up yet another blue bmw to add to the stables. I'll be keeping the engine but seeing if there was anyone interested in the rest? If not I'll part it out. It has an air suspension control fault. It has a new ride height sensor, and height control module but fault still remains. Compressor works but there is a CANBUS network error. I gave up as i only bought this for the engine. Gearbox shifts well. Test drives welcome and viewing recommended. Paint is below par. Looking for $2000 otherwise will strip for parts. Will need time to pull the engine Now parting - almost all interior is gone. Still have all the control units etc - $50 each Towbar kit - $200 Doors $50 Lights $50 each Bumpers $100 Wheels - $800
  16. Is the item for sale from a company or private? I found mainfreight reasonable but would only collect from a business with a VAT number. What gearbox is it?
  17. Got a borescope handy? Might not be able to see anything but easier than tearing the engine down

    M54b30 Rebuild

That's a real shame. I've used Caraid for almost 10years both professionally and personally and never had any issue. Hopefully it still comes out alright
  19. Just need to teach the Mrs how to drive efficiently 😄
  20. Plenty of value in those and their toyota cousin, Highlander as no one wants to deal with the fuel bill on them. We just grabbed a 2012 Highlander for $7500 including shipping

    FS: E53 X5 4.6is

Great price for everything that's been done. Cheaper than some of the standard ones
  23. Saw a thing on Facebook about it, someone went for a look and apparently the respray is terrible

    Quick rant thread.

Working in the car industry, 99% of Bluetooth/phone pairing issues are with Apple phones. Most of the time it's because Apple go and update everyone's phones without allowing car manufacturers a peak at the update to ensure it'll work. Next thing it's out the customer domain and we are getting the heat from customers for it
  25. This process is only for the remote locking side of things and has no impact on the ability to start the vehicle or if the immobilizer is working or not. Anyone with any sort of experience should be able to pair the key with the remote locking. Off topic - dealers are franchises and run by different companies. Much like your local pizza hut so if you don't like the service at one, you go to another. Having worked and still do at a dealership, not BMW one anymore, here are where things go wrong; sh*t staff - sadly unavoidable once they are in, it's hard to get them out. Unfortunately they taint the good ones who work there. Customer expectations - being a dealer the customer expects anyone who works there to know everything about everything which isn't possible. I've been cussed out because I didn't know that the e90 323 had a software update in Sept 2009 for some random issue he was having. Said I'd need to look it up and plug the car in to check but wasn't good enough. (Insert car manufacture) enthusiasts and the internet - just because you read it on some internet site doesn't make it the truth. More than once carried a repair a customer self diagnosed it via the internet wrong and somehow our fault that it didn't fix the issue. Older cars - call up Microsoft and ask them to fix windows95 and they'll laugh. Eventually they fix it but it's not always as easy when you don't work on something all the time. Most people I've had as customers are awesome but those are usually the reasons why things go south but ultimately it comes down to point 1. Good staff are hard to get, and sometimes you just need to employ someone to fill a hole so the good staff don't burn out and leave
