Poked my head under last night and this looks like the culprit. Loose hose clamp. Tried tightening it but made it worse.. then it got too cold and I gave up. Will give it a good clean and replace tonight and see how it goes.

Couple years have gone by, didn't realize it was 3! Not a huge amount has changed but kids will do that. Been through a couple different sets of wheels, style 5s, acs type 1 monoblocks. Picked up a dream set of ACS type 1 racing which I'll get widened to 17x9. Currently rocking some stye 24s however Ditched the msport kit and going more with an ASC theme. Picked up some type 1 mirrors, and painted them LSB as a tester as thinking about painting the whole car.. Had a slow coolant leak which was getting worse. Top hose looked average so replaced that..nope still leaking..so I guess nows a good time to upgrade the radiator. Was holding out for a s54 z3m one but all out of stock. Ended up grabbing a cheap used mishimoto one with new hoses. I had the radiator with the expansion tank built in so thought now would be a good time to upgrade to the m3 self bleeding system. Out with the old.. This was much harder than I thought. First, radiator didn't fit as the mounts are too narrow, grabbed some from a wrecker. Mine also has two wiring connectors up by the fuse box so tucked them underneath the expansion tank bracket for now. then I had run this hose which connected to old expansion tank, to the new one. I cut it in half and grabbed a joiner from the legends at A1. Sorted. Ran up everything and checked for leaks.. Pulled it out of the garage as to not gas out the Mrs in the office.. and it'd leaking fuel. At least it's good weather to daily the convertible

Panel shops prefer non insurance work as they get screwed down tight on what insurance companies will pay

Coupled with the m50 swap package that's on trademe at the moment, would go well -
Quick rants that turn to long rants...

It's not the oil leak tou have ti worry about, it's the coolant hoses, valve stem seals, breathers etc

We have received an insane amount of enquiries on hybrid vehicles in the last week and sold all our 2nd hand stock within days. Plug-in hybrids are the way to go I think. 40km battery range which will get most to work and back and with petrol to help on long range

Depends on the brand, some run narrow others wide but 205mm is 8.07 inchs so should be pretty straight

What if I or a private individual did it? Is it OK then? No different from a sparky buying a plug socket for $10, then selling it for $15 as part of an install
-
No harm in that is there? At $35k it was grossly underpriced and $60k odd being the market rate
-
Bmw sell a 'repair kit' which consists of two outer tail lights for less then the price of one new one
