  1. Purple tag rack is worth about $250
  2. Was told that on g20 training, can't remember who took it. But basically said the likes of bbs were tired of having to make specific 5x120 stuff when everyone else in Germany were doing 5x112
  3. Wheel companies put the pressure on bmw to switch to 5x112 so they didn't have make 5x120 wheels as well. Keeps costs down for the wheel manufacturer and in turn for bmw.
  4. You can thank vw for that. Personally I don't think fuel economy is the main purpose behind stop/start but more emissions. If the car isn't running then it's not producing emissions and that helps car manufacturers meet the super tough regulations. Joe public doesn't give two hoots about emissions but rather fuel economy which is a handy byproduct and selling tool. Half the duration of the emissions and fuel economy tests are measured whilst the car is at a stop

    Adblue delete?

Prob never been cleaned. Deleting adblue would only turn it into a NZ spec vehicle

  15. Kia aren't bringing them in anymore as they attract a decent tax. I think they will be cheap as chips in a few years once the rental fleet is sold off
  16. HUDs don't need calibration, only the camera and sensor do and not all models. At a guess I'd say the glass is defective, the area for the HUD in the glass is in the wrong place
  17. Diesels need long hot runs to clean out the Diesel particulate filter. Too many short trips will cause it to block up $$$

  19. Transport mode. All cars have a way of shutting down everything except the bare essentials to enable the vehicle to start and run.
  20. Much warmer in the garage today, managed to get the old clamp off and put a new one on.. fuel leaked sorted. Looks like it might still be leaking coolant, possibly from the thermostat housing (the one thing I over looked) I see there's a bunch of aluminum housing on the market. Anyone used one with success or just stick with a factory one.
  21. Oil leaks, power steering leaks, abs/dsc ecu..
  22. https://www.trademe.co.nz/3596489615 Listed and sold in the day..too cheap?
  23. Poked my head under last night and this looks like the culprit. Loose hose clamp. Tried tightening it but made it worse.. then it got too cold and I gave up. Will give it a good clean and replace tonight and see how it goes.
  24. Couple years have gone by, didn't realize it was 3! Not a huge amount has changed but kids will do that. Been through a couple different sets of wheels, style 5s, acs type 1 monoblocks. Picked up a dream set of ACS type 1 racing which I'll get widened to 17x9. Currently rocking some stye 24s however Ditched the msport kit and going more with an ASC theme. Picked up some type 1 mirrors, and painted them LSB as a tester as thinking about painting the whole car.. Had a slow coolant leak which was getting worse. Top hose looked average so replaced that..nope still leaking..so I guess nows a good time to upgrade the radiator. Was holding out for a s54 z3m one but all out of stock. Ended up grabbing a cheap used mishimoto one with new hoses. I had the radiator with the expansion tank built in so thought now would be a good time to upgrade to the m3 self bleeding system. Out with the old.. This was much harder than I thought. First, radiator didn't fit as the mounts are too narrow, grabbed some from a wrecker. Mine also has two wiring connectors up by the fuse box so tucked them underneath the expansion tank bracket for now. then I had run this hose which connected to old expansion tank, to the new one. I cut it in half and grabbed a joiner from the legends at A1. Sorted. Ran up everything and checked for leaks.. Pulled it out of the garage as to not gas out the Mrs in the office.. and it'd leaking fuel. At least it's good weather to daily the convertible
  25. Tech 1.. I've got an alpina 157 on mine and the side profile is perfect with the top down
