How old is the vehicle? Unless the dealers are owned by the same company then each dealer can't view other dealers records so youd have to contact each dealer. If you were the owner at the time this wont be an issue. It will also depend on what management system the dealer uses as some systems can give a brief overview of everything they have done without customer info. Electronic records are available to view by all but you can see all that in the idrive

I think facelift/non facelift?

An extra $350 for a lifetime of heated seats is hardly going to break the bank. The associated cost with making assembly line changes to accommodate all these changes are horrendous. I'll use the f15 as an example, they came with 4 different headlight options. The 4 lights that need to be designed and manufactured, then loaded into the assembly line at the right time.Thats 4 different lights that need to be held on the shelf for spares. Instead they can design and build one light, keep one light on the shelf at the dealership instead of waiting however long for parts from Germany.

I honestly don't see a problem with it. What other means is that bmw can now sell a 3 series for say $40k (prob not but just a random figure) with no features meaning you open up the market to more buyers. They then add features they see applicable to themselves. There are so many people out there who tell me daily, I don't use/care/want any of this stuff and just want to drive

Purple tag rack is worth about $250

Was told that on g20 training, can't remember who took it. But basically said the likes of bbs were tired of having to make specific 5x120 stuff when everyone else in Germany were doing 5x112

Wheel companies put the pressure on bmw to switch to 5x112 so they didn't have make 5x120 wheels as well. Keeps costs down for the wheel manufacturer and in turn for bmw.

You can thank vw for that. Personally I don't think fuel economy is the main purpose behind stop/start but more emissions. If the car isn't running then it's not producing emissions and that helps car manufacturers meet the super tough regulations. Joe public doesn't give two hoots about emissions but rather fuel economy which is a handy byproduct and selling tool. Half the duration of the emissions and fuel economy tests are measured whilst the car is at a stop

Forget glowplugs, one glowplug isn't going to stop the car from starting

Considering the seller has 9 1star reviews, all for communication and description, probably not a bad thing you missed out on it

Kia aren't bringing them in anymore as they attract a decent tax. I think they will be cheap as chips in a few years once the rental fleet is sold off

HUDs don't need calibration, only the camera and sensor do and not all models. At a guess I'd say the glass is defective, the area for the HUD in the glass is in the wrong place

Diesels need long hot runs to clean out the Diesel particulate filter. Too many short trips will cause it to block up $$$

Transport mode. All cars have a way of shutting down everything except the bare essentials to enable the vehicle to start and run.

Much warmer in the garage today, managed to get the old clamp off and put a new one on.. fuel leaked sorted. Looks like it might still be leaking coolant, possibly from the thermostat housing (the one thing I over looked) I see there's a bunch of aluminum housing on the market. Anyone used one with success or just stick with a factory one.
