Can do but probably easier to leave inlet on & remove as one. Can leave exhaust one ok. Do water pump while doing cam belt etc. Watch for (when reasembly) the drain tube between inlet manifold & bottom of block - that it locates correctly with O ring at the top

Now to diagnose & fix the GM

1997 750il non widescreen FM Band Expander
hotwire replied to philk's topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
Yep, world tuners 01> Bear in mind - band expanders in these cars although doable are crap Best option - fit a Euro tuner in place of Jap unit PM me if you want details -
This has been mentioned a zillion times on here regarding these problems. There are umpteen variables on possible problems albeit some more common than others. As mentioned -It needs to be scanned to confirm the problem otherwise it is only a guess & can lead to a lot of frustration & unecessary cost in trying to fix. Any decent auto sparky will have a scanner to diagnose the fault.

Hope she appreciates your efforts & keeps it looking as such. Well done! I have in the past (not recent) been known to clean with similar effort but certainly not removing seats. And no - you wont want do the same in the Beemer - a shitload more effort involved compared to a jappa.

In the current climate - a house is best option. Hope the new owner looks after the car as you did - would have to be one of the best examples around. Can imagine you are gutted to see it go

Maybe Mr Foxy could put one of those in Stevos new E30

Ditto!!

Yep, as you say Glenn. Because of low current consumption of the LED - it is able to see a circuit to earth through any units connected to acc or ign (depending which circuit you use). Same process for a headlight warning buzzer as long as buzzer is a very low wattage unit. In this case connection between head/park light & ign/acc

Another year older Shuey - more maturity going to give that yellow machine a little more edge Have a good one!

Looks to me from first pic that the rim is incorrect offset - as Nick has suggested to confirm
-
sh*t Dave - I know you said its about how you prioritise & use your time but it still amazes me how you can turn these cars out in such frequent fashion. I only have one to deal with & at the moment haven't got the time for that - bugger it! Good on you by the way

These cars STILL cut the mustard. Timeless!!

Would have to be a charging problem (maybe intermittent) otherwise a main supply or earth problem Has it got a kill switch - maybe VD across those contacts?
