BNT - all around the place. Look in your phone book:-
-
mmmmmmmm Stunning car - enjoy Me envious
-
mmm... hard to know. A few years ago I put some Ching Fung Dung or whatevers on the front of the E39. Partly/ mainly because of cost (about $50 each compared to about $175+ ea OEM), but also with the theory that they couldn't be worse than the 65k that the originals lasted on the car. I did fit OEM pads though - much cheaper than you quote Famous last words though... they developed a severe shudder after about 25k so had to have them skimmed about 12 months ago. They have been ok since, car now at just over 100k Sooo in effect - milage will probably be as good as OEM
-
Price with the obvious - Repco, BNT etc, Euro Italian on here. BMW rotors are inherently soft anyway so wear factor of aftermarket will probably be similar to OEM
-
Cheap as chips @ BMW - about $4 ea. Just get a new set -I did for my race car (or the 4 above & the rest from BMW)
-
HB Brian. No doubt will catch up in Jan
-
Steering wheel is the only place for cruise controls that I know of Find out where the car has come from - imported. It may be a low spec Singapore car
-
Welcome Chris & look forward to pics. Plenty on here to give 02 advice
-
Doesn't look like - no controls on steering wheel...
-
Been away at Manfeild last few days so no Bimmersport Hope you had a good one Glenn. Glad to hear you have the smoking desire out of the system now
-
HB Fella, was great to catch up today
-
Stunning car Ray. Absolutely love the colour
-
Yes but the E36 does not have a diversity aerial system which is the main problem with aftermarket radio's in E46 etc cars having reception issues.
-
Great colour car - love it As Greg said - update the Nav etc PM me for nav/ reverse camera. done heaps of in these cars. Great to see these cars operating to potential
-
^^^^^^ and $25 will probably be a benchmark. You are probably splitting hairs. We used to charge the same where I used to be a few yrs ago
-
Good option but not sure it looks the go with rest of the car as opposed to OEM - from a purists point of view. Not sure if you can get a JVC to BMW harness adapter but if not - wiring can be cut/shut anyway. You will comprimise radio reception though - the JVC unit is not set up for diversity aerial connections as the OEM unit is
-
Welcome Scott, seen the light huh:- Nice car What about getting the curbing repaired - feasible?
-
Yes technically correct, calcium batteries do require a different charge sequence (out of car) to standard lead acid & are suited to the slightly higher charging voltages of modern alternator systems where they are pushing up towards 15v rather than older units running @ 13.8 - 14.3 ish (depending on alternator)
-
^^^^ my thoughts exactly!
-
HB fella, catch up again soon
-
Daniel -Did you get my PM?
-
^^^^ Yep but technically the later "world tuner" along with aerial adapter, requires replacement aerial antenna too as they differ from the early ones in market specific units.
-
^^^^^ Just as well it's a classified listing & not an auction - imagine the emails he's getting
-
^^^ Yep or what Glenn said. I have used eyecrometer many times without issue
