Need a new Nav unit or radio module?

09/01 was change. Round pins equate to BM24 You can upgrade to BM54 with adapter harness if you wish -
Shite... We don't even do this to our cars on the track You are meaning faster acceleration surely? - not top speed:- Will be one or other - can't be both

120 in 3rd @ 6000 - what the hell numbers did it run up to in 2nd? I feel a new engine coming... & gearbox for that matter:-
-
Matt - get in touch with Josh - Hybrid
-
Can't help Matt but I too am curious on that one. Have only had a brief play with a Mini - sorting a nav disc for an ex UK one. Even the nav unit is hidden under panels under the drivers seat & not easily accessable. Has it got TV - video module? If no nav - behind the radio:-

Woohoo, didn't know my E12 came with an M62 engine option - might have to hunt one down On a serious note - obviously a generic BMW model list there as a vast proportion of models listed - it is not applicable for. Me too thinks it's too wide for the E39

Sounds like you may have answered your question What is happening to these starters? Same thing each time? Are they infact "burning out"? If so - may well be the ign switch keeping the starter in mesh. You should be able to hear that though & if constant - wont be good for a few days each time:- Best get it checked by an auto sparky
-
Yep Nathan is correct re sound deadening - from memory I took 23kgs of it out of the race car - most in the boot
-
Can do, & just sold one on TM too. PM me
-
Also, just thinking Dave - not sure but the X5 OEM lights may be using a varying voltage to a 21 watt bulb to control tail & brake brightness - as with the E46
-
Easy Andy, I was sitting on (from memory) 70 or 80 points, gathered from: 111km open road, 81 in a 70 (outskirts of a rural town) & a failing to stop (completely) at a stop sign. All in a 12 month period. In all cases the officers at the time were sympathetic (almost apologetic) but insisted that they had to act on instruction.
-
Dave , could be a fault in the LCM Has the fault just developed or been present since you have had? I can't recall on the X5 the OE lamp configuration in comparison to aftermarket:- e.g. How many tail filaments per side, I suspect only one brake. I see the hi stop not going, although this is a different LCM circuit to L & R brake lights. Also - which are rear fog? Has it one each side? Are they turned on? I would remove each bulb & check for correct fit, also if dual filament stop/tail - make sure you dont have a faulty bulb - shorting between filaments

Firstly welcome Donny, Air intake & exhaust will make little difference. Changing diff will upset ratios, speedo etc. Best option is probably a remap - maybe along with first two. Don't expect miracles though
-
Yep, sure did, I can assure you that you shouldn't lose skin in fitting this. More just a pain in the a... to run the wiring thru the conduit & into the car & accessing the VM. I would fit one in a couple of hours now - the first took about 3. Can go thru TM or PM me here (minus TM fees) - whichever suits. Cheers Grant

Like it in both options Jason but the new ones for being 18's. As Jon suggested - did the car "settle" before taking the pic on the 18's? Soooo Jon - what feet are on your car now? Or is it on blocks?

Don't know where you reside but Fibrenew in Hamilton fix them. There are bound to be other similar upholstery/trim repairers around the country

Can help you with it all - reverse camera inc

E30 Chrome Bumper - Rubber Strip For The Rear
hotwire replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in Want to buy
Jon - you have a spare right there... on the car in your signature -
Ditto to Matt - I would never remove an OEM monitor for aftermarket. To my knowledge BMW are still offering update map discs for these units.
-
Andy, No, they are both different - the drivers side incorporates the fuel pump. Remove the drivers side one & check for a broken wire connection inside - a common problem Simply resolder it back on.

^^^^^ Takes all sorts in this world

A starter that works sometimes aye David Sorry, back on topic

Great pics Jack. I too admire your enthusiasm & dedication. I think you can now see - these cars requires meticulous preparation & attention to detail to be able to survive the extremes that they are put under in race situation. Good luck for sorting in rediness for next season
