^The consensus seems that bearings are a wear item and will need to be replaced eventually. Could you get 300km+ on the originals / recall? A lot have. But wear is apparent when people have them replaced preventatively. Has anyone seen this car? I find it's very hard to get any feel for value unless you view a car in the metal.

I'm looking at F31 wagons and F36 4xx grand coupes and was wondering what your opinion is on the various motors. The sweet spot would be a 330d, but they are hard to find. I remembered the Chris Harris review and thought a 320d could work. My other option would be the 328i. (I know what to expect with 335i). Given the history of BMW 4 cyl, I am a little reluctant with the 320d and 328i. I'd get a warranty and have an m3, so performance isn't a huge concern. Thoughts?

I actually really like SMG (with CSL tune) and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one. Both have their charms. I’ve never gone back to SMG so maybe that would change my mind? SMG sucks is a classic internet meme.

Oh yeah. It's manual now thanks to HellBM

Best motoring decision of my life. The hype is real. No road car comes close for the money, (and even a lot more).

AFE intake. Haven't had a good chance to wring it out yet, but pretty happy with the sound, (i.e. purpose of install).

My understanding is you can get these from the dealer cheap?

I think this is great. I'm a fan, and wish we saw more cars like this. Styling is questionable, but some angles (rear) looks awesome. The reviews are praising the handling. And M2 levels of power are more than enough for the street. I'd rather a BMW interior than Toyota. It's benchmarked off a Cayman - and that makes it look like a good buy. (You can't compare used to new and it's certainly not comparable to a Stinger). The biggest problem I see is practicality. Small boot etc...

I did them ~5 years apart, would be way cheaper doing it at once of course. Work was done by Hell BM. (Auckland).

Awesome, (why wouldn't you!). Shout out to the daily ///M3 crew!

If your're going to do RACP work, get the top beam kit too. It's now been shown that plates only shift the load and you will end up with more cracking in different locations.

BMW E30 M3 Sport Evo: The M3 Masterpieces Ep.1 | Carfection 4K

So many of the UK comparison vids use the CSL. Which is obviously cool, but I wished they used the standard car for a more real world comparison. (It's worth more than an F80!) -
Is the 335i the 2019 performance bargain?

I've never seen the e90 wheels in silver. That's a lot of car^ GLWS. -
I guess OEM is a bit misleading, but at least FCP are very clear in the definitions and labeling. And on that basis just stick with "OE".
-
whats the problem? Original Equipment (OE) Parts: These are the same parts originally supplied to dealerships, except with the dealer logos removed. This is done by manufacturers so the parts can be sold outside the dealer network due to licensing agreements. Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Parts: These are produced by a manufacturer that supplies at least one OE part to a vehicle manufacturer. OEM parts may not have been original to the car, but are held to higher-quality standards and stringent quality control

Were many 330d F30 estates sold new in NZ?

I work it out as being about double in (fuel) running costs?

#metoo From what I have read on forums people are saying they are pretty reliable. Also interested in local feedback.

Hyundai = humiliation. @Ripstart01 They are very hard to find. Consider converting one. If you found a manual one there would be 'just one'. You have you pick of hundreds of autos so would likely get a far better car & spec. I'd personally try and find a N55 DCT.

I've heard of people getting under 10km on PSS. So would be interesting to hear how you go.

How is the rear tyre wear going?

Nice. Looks factory. I have been toying with the idea of wrapping my trip. Coby Wheel offers an alcanatra wrap dash trip for e46, but it's pricey. Going to give repainting a go and see how it looks.

Yes - family got recall notice. How extensive is the fix do you know? Quick like the airbag or longer repair?
