    Quick Questions

There is some stuff you can get for this, I have used it before and it worked. I think it was called liquid magnet? Visit My Website
  2. Don't is my advice. My brother had one - and I know someone with one now. The problem is they cost too much to fix. You have to take the whole front end off to do things like the clutch. I know someone whose turbo is dead too. They seem to have all the costs and reliability associated with a 'performance car' but with only mild performance. I know they are tempting though, they look good and are cheap...

    WTF

What a tastefully modified european vehicle. This is a steal for $30k as the work would have cost at least this. Plus the individual nature of the car really makes it priceless. I wish more people had the talent and flair to modify their BMW like this. I say well done, well done indeed.

    2004 M3

    Alfa 147 Sillyspeed

I know someone with a 159 Q4 JTS 3.2. Owned 6 months and required a gearbox rebuild. They aren't super quick, (a 330i would smoke it) and they suck they gas like crazy, real crazy. But they look phat and have character. Character goes a long way.
  7. Awesome ray. I'll give you a buzz. Destination is you by the way....
  8. Yo, I have leaking radiator issues and don;t want to chance driving it. Can any one recommend a good tow service in Auckland? Cheers

    New key arrived

I was told before I ordered mine that there was no way to check the EWS matched the VIN and that if it was ever changed out the key i ordered would not work. I said I would risk it.
  10. This and $7k for maintenance or an e46 m3 as a daily ?

    E36 keys

FYI I had an EWS key imported from the dealer for like $150. (no remote though, just the grey base one)
  12. I think it is if you turn you wheels so when they start to tow it would hit a wall/other car might theorically stop them towing. But if they have one of those trucks that just pick the car up, or put those dollies under the wheels you are stuffed. Hey if I was a towie I'd probably take your m3 for a burn.
  13. 6's are such lemons IMO.
  14. Ha, finally people know what I am talking about. The weird thing is I can't tell what dictates whether the pic is maximised or its just the 0% black bar.
  15. You know how new cars have that lovely leather on the steering wheel? But on older cars it goes shining, smooth and hard? I used amour all multipurpose cleaner on mine and it made an entire towel black. But it has restored my wheel to that soft awesome texture of a new wheel. I will try and show pics.

    Any Electricians?

Wow cheers dude. I may take you up on that. Going to try a line filter thing that the sale person said will fix me or they will eat their hat. Ill pm you and let u know before you come up if I need it. Appreciate the offer. Feedback is this is likely caused by old crap wiring.

    Any Electricians?

na its a series 4 samsung. Hmmm, so any 'Line interactive' UPS wont fix it? I need an 'Online' one? They are quite expensive aren't they? You comments about lots of things being on the same RCD sound right. Its an old house which has a 'new' meter and switchboard. What would you suggest I do? $500 for an online UPS seems a bit ridiculous. Thanks for your comments. EDIT: I have been recomnded an Automatic Voltage Regulator.
  18. Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice. I just installed a new TV, (new house). But when some lights, or the bathroom fan etc are turned on, the TV flashes for a split second. I bought a Uninteruptable Power Supply and an 'expensive' surge protector multi board, but it doesnt seem to have made any differnce. Last ight I tried plugging the TV into other outlets, but it still has the same problem. The UPS is bought seems pretty sht, is a 'better quality' one worth a try. I would have thought that this would have 'buffered' any power fluctuations? EDIT: Do I need to get an 'online' UPS? Any advice would be grand. Cheers Nick
  19. Any mechanics in AK keep this stuff in stock? (I'm unclear as to what parts I would need )
  20. Buy on the merits of the individual vehicle relative to price IMO. I would hapilly take a mint e46 328i if the price was right. Of course a 330i is 'better'. In my family ATM I have e36 328i, 330i sedan (full spec), 330i cab (japa) and the sedan is the quickest, but not by much. They are all a decent step up from a e46 323i I can say that.
  21. Ha, you pulled up nxt to me at the lights in Newmarket a few months back. We did the BMW 'nod'. /nohomo
  22. Just being a looky-lu, but I' be real interested to see what looks like
  23. I reckon this is a good buy for certain people. Lets face it, a lot of modern sports cars are bought for looks - they might not be rev'd above 5000rpm ever. How many Porsche's have you seen being driven by 50's housewives; and its the 'S' model. I think why - why would you spend the extra on an 'S' - in automatic!??
  24. Ha, I must have seen the same car on the weekend. Facelift coupe with a BS sticker on BBS RS's. (my) e36 must be pretty anonymous.
