My view is that I know someone who got one, NZ new, full spec for $10k. It had done 130k. Maybe that was a good deal, but $3k 'insurance' against maintenance isn;t much and you will really struggle to sell it when its done 300k. So the extra you pay now for a lower km one, you will probably get back in resale. That being said my car has 210k on it and my e30 had 320k.

The relvant question is how much is it?

TIL Crazy Dave isn't that crazy.

The diesel stories are making me want to hypermile! That's some crazy stats. Is there a 'milage' thread? Some one start one. I was getting 450km per tank 7.5l/km, better with VANOS fix. What about a Toyota Crown? You could get some diplomatic flags for it.

Wow, this looks cool! http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4tus4q2...b9y7o1_1280.jpg

Huawei has some decent phones. Some of them are a joke though, but there is a new one coming that I would use. And the old 'high end' model is OK. Try Flixel if you are on iOS - it's awesome. (I'd love to see a Bimmersport vehicle flixel thread) Device history: One X, Nexus S, HTC HD2, HTC Legend, iPhone 3G, iPhone

Isn't that the BMW trick these days? Only M cars have one? (No option to even add?)

+1 Thanks!

Can we get a mini comparison/review for each?
-
it would look better black, but it's still fail. You asked....

I like these way better than the X. Yellow is a cool colour too I reckon. Is the GT spec just a preference thing?

There is some stuff you can get for this, I have used it before and it worked. I think it was called liquid magnet? Visit My Website

Don't is my advice. My brother had one - and I know someone with one now. The problem is they cost too much to fix. You have to take the whole front end off to do things like the clutch. I know someone whose turbo is dead too. They seem to have all the costs and reliability associated with a 'performance car' but with only mild performance. I know they are tempting though, they look good and are cheap...

What a tastefully modified european vehicle. This is a steal for $30k as the work would have cost at least this. Plus the individual nature of the car really makes it priceless. I wish more people had the talent and flair to modify their BMW like this. I say well done, well done indeed.

Stock rims are 19" op car and rims are epic. you should definitely buy it.

Reporting in with successful single VANOS 'fix' from Hell BM here. All the symptoms of bung VANOS are gone.

I know someone with a 159 Q4 JTS 3.2. Owned 6 months and required a gearbox rebuild. They aren't super quick, (a 330i would smoke it) and they suck they gas like crazy, real crazy. But they look phat and have character. Character goes a long way.

Awesome ray. I'll give you a buzz. Destination is you by the way....

Yo, I have leaking radiator issues and don;t want to chance driving it. Can any one recommend a good tow service in Auckland? Cheers
-
I was told before I ordered mine that there was no way to check the EWS matched the VIN and that if it was ever changed out the key i ordered would not work. I said I would risk it.
-
This and $7k for maintenance or an e46 m3 as a daily ?
-
FYI I had an EWS key imported from the dealer for like $150. (no remote though, just the grey base one)

I think it is if you turn you wheels so when they start to tow it would hit a wall/other car might theorically stop them towing. But if they have one of those trucks that just pick the car up, or put those dollies under the wheels you are stuffed. Hey if I was a towie I'd probably take your m3 for a burn.

6's are such lemons IMO.
