Ha, finally people know what I am talking about. The weird thing is I can't tell what dictates whether the pic is maximised or its just the 0% black bar.

You know how new cars have that lovely leather on the steering wheel? But on older cars it goes shining, smooth and hard? I used amour all multipurpose cleaner on mine and it made an entire towel black. But it has restored my wheel to that soft awesome texture of a new wheel. I will try and show pics.

Wow cheers dude. I may take you up on that. Going to try a line filter thing that the sale person said will fix me or they will eat their hat. Ill pm you and let u know before you come up if I need it. Appreciate the offer. Feedback is this is likely caused by old crap wiring.

na its a series 4 samsung. Hmmm, so any 'Line interactive' UPS wont fix it? I need an 'Online' one? They are quite expensive aren't they? You comments about lots of things being on the same RCD sound right. Its an old house which has a 'new' meter and switchboard. What would you suggest I do? $500 for an online UPS seems a bit ridiculous. Thanks for your comments. EDIT: I have been recomnded an Automatic Voltage Regulator.

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice. I just installed a new TV, (new house). But when some lights, or the bathroom fan etc are turned on, the TV flashes for a split second. I bought a Uninteruptable Power Supply and an 'expensive' surge protector multi board, but it doesnt seem to have made any differnce. Last ight I tried plugging the TV into other outlets, but it still has the same problem. The UPS is bought seems pretty sht, is a 'better quality' one worth a try. I would have thought that this would have 'buffered' any power fluctuations? EDIT: Do I need to get an 'online' UPS? Any advice would be grand. Cheers Nick

Any mechanics in AK keep this stuff in stock? (I'm unclear as to what parts I would need )

Buy on the merits of the individual vehicle relative to price IMO. I would hapilly take a mint e46 328i if the price was right. Of course a 330i is 'better'. In my family ATM I have e36 328i, 330i sedan (full spec), 330i cab (japa) and the sedan is the quickest, but not by much. They are all a decent step up from a e46 323i I can say that.

Just being a looky-lu, but I' be real interested to see what looks like

I reckon this is a good buy for certain people. Lets face it, a lot of modern sports cars are bought for looks - they might not be rev'd above 5000rpm ever. How many Porsche's have you seen being driven by 50's housewives; and its the 'S' model. I think why - why would you spend the extra on an 'S' - in automatic!??

Ha, I must have seen the same car on the weekend. Facelift coupe with a BS sticker on BBS RS's. (my) e36 must be pretty anonymous.

I'm totally getting my bumper resprayed from free when some noob, noobs me.

Hmmm, so in short everyone with a manual conversion is stuck with the auto program then? Mine drives fine, but I would have been keen to 'optimise' for manual, damn.

By waiting I would argue the market has shifted, (which can go both ways). Market value can be defined as: "the amount 'it' should exchange for between a willing buyer and a willing seller in an arm’s-length transaction after proper marketing wherein the parties had each acted knowledgeably, prudently, and without compulsion" Great chat boys

Pretty much. Why has (*insert 'bumped' thread*) not sold? In your wife's case you could argue that they are uninformed purchasers I guess. I would be keen to hear the reasons behind this though, because I feel it still comes back to price. (e.g. 2 identical cars for the same price but her 'service' seals the deal still = the purchaser getting more for the same cost, so price is still the driver)

As someone who has worked in 'sales' in the past it's pretty common phenomenon that people think their own (car / house / business) is far superior and worth more than an identical version that has recently sold. It's like that self-delusion you see on talent shows where people genuinely believe they are awesome. People are entitled to their own opinions, but it irritates me when they start blaming outside factors for why they can't sell their item. It's simple - price. There is nothing else to it. Your price is too high. Also people that post for sale listings but add "I’m in no hurry to sell, if I don't get what I am after I won’t sell it.†Some advice – even if that is your position – don’t say that, you come across as an unmotivated seller. There seems to be a lot of threads lately with people accusing people of ‘dreaming’; rightly or wrongly remember this….

Why would you pay $12k for 200kw?
-
I'm not sure if mine has been reflashed? (I think it has), but i sometimes get a little bit of revs hanging in between gears - only on partial throtle. Taking your foot off slightly earlier when changing gears is a 'fix'

You can try uploading your pics to imgur then link here...
