  1. Agree with Kyu - although the Bridgestone is more tyre than you need (based on your description) it's a great tyre for the price. If you were looking to save some coin you could even go for the next model down in their range the "Sporty Style MY02" (terrible name). Not sure how much they cost but they're sure to be fine for an "every day" tyre - perhaps still even more tyre than you need. Most people get "performance" tyres and come nowhere near asking them to do anything near what they're capable of. Edit: remember to shop your best price around, some places will try and better it or throw in something extra.
  2. If you don't get a quick reply perhaps contact Brent (BM World) or Ray (Hell BM) either by PM or by phone. I'm sure both will be able to help.
  3. Or Martin's M5! I'm not sure that window rubber is in right... the last picture in post #17 looks way off... no?
  4. Mounted them. Now I can get my RC's refurbished... finally!
  5. Mounted these. Seemed appropriate to do it in the rain since they're semi-slicks. Drive to work tomorrow could be fun in the rain. Cold 225 track tyres verses sticky 255 street tyres... Thought I'd hate the black... don't mind it actually.
  6. Now I need the CSL one as well!
  7. I need that E30, have the E36 equivalent sitting on my entertainment cabinet.
  8. Picked these up today so I can finally get my RC's refurbished! These are my new track rims and tyres:
  9. Did a bodge job to fix a squealing belt pulley and took it off and sprayed the guts of it with CRC. Obviously that won't last but it's a sealed unit and I can't get grease in there. Quite annoyed actually because it's only 5,000 km's old. I'll need to replace it. But on a better note, picked up some track rims and tyres from Rowan, cheers dude.
  10. Nice to meet you today Rowan and have a good chat, thanks for the easy trade.
  11. It would be good to test them back-to-back and I'd be keen if yours went in before mine. Also happy to tool around helping you do the swap if that's what you meant. It would be worth making sure your tierods aren't seized before you start as you may need gas to get them undone. You'll also want to get new hoses and do the modifications required to use normal worm-drive clamps (http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?124679-Fixed-steering-hose-leak-problem).
  12. Braided clutch line required? Probably. Does the ambient or under bonnet temperature make a difference? Note sure if the 3.0 suffers from the problem but the Evo most certainly does. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E36-M3-Z3-M-BRAIDED-CLUTCH-HOSE-UPGRADE-/270472384903 http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=27831 http://www.ubermpower.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2575 Best mod I did, closely followed by the E46 rack.
  13. ^ this. Requires a cert now right?
  14. Can't tell you about the Z3 rack although I have one now sitting in the garage. What I can tell you is that the purple rack is an astonishing upgrade, I've had mine in for about 8 months now and will never look back, it makes a huge difference to how the front of the car feels and precision micro-drifts. But I do understand the original 3.0 and 3.2 racks are different? Therefore you may have a different experience. When the purple one first went in it felt very heavy and tight, I couldn't have imagined putting an even tighter one in. However now that I'm used to it it just seems normal and I'm willing to experiment with the Z3 rack when I get around to it. It's actually not as much of a leap (in ratio) from E46 > Z3 as it was to go from E36 > E46 so perhaps the change in feel won't be so dramatic either. I did have to modify the inner tie rods to allow the E46 rack to vent but many don't. I don't think this is required for the Z3 rack. I'm positive you'll be happy with the E46 one and pretty sure you'll be at least as happy with the Z3 one. I do hear that the Z3 one is quite a bit more maintenance on the open roads so that's what I'm most cautious of.
  15. My B6's are fine some 40k kms in. Was using stock springs and bars for a while then swapped to Eibach and that made quite a difference really, no doubt because they're designed for one and other. It's a bit lower but not much. Using 15mm spring pads in the rear so my 255/18's clear.
  16. Very interested to see how this under tray fits in the final wash up.
  17. Thanks. Any curbing etc? And I assume they're straight!
  18. Regarding the colour change are the painted, dipped or something else?

    WTB - E36 M3

I know you're being cheeky but you do know the US never got a real e36 M3 right? If it's a LHD from Europe then that's a different story.

    WTB - E36 M3

LHD, the American one? Why would you want that when you could have a real one?
  21. How did it meet reserve, close and not sell? Edit: duh, read the auction Dave.
  22. Yes, I just took the measurements and specs to Enzed and they made them for me, fitting was a breeze. I got them about an inch longer than I needed just to be sure.
  23. Power would make this test easier. The faster you can get to 100 the more time you have to stop.
