E46 M3 - Best Inspection II service provider in Auckland?
M3AN replied to JohnM575's topic in General Discussion
In my experience very few places do a proper shim check during an Inspection II whether it's on the job list or not, whether they're a dealer or not. If you get a fixed price quote make sure you have it in writing that they will measure and adjust shims and that you'll get a written sheet that gives you before and after measurements. Unless you get the before and after sheet you might as well conclude they didn't do the job. -
WTB - E36/46 Tweeter speaker cover (see pic)
M3AN replied to atlantiskiwi's topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
FYI cover and speaker are a single unit so you'll probably need to get a hold of the entire thing. -
...is exactly the expectation you set when you post on a public forum. Isn't it?

I'd be all over it if it were in Auckland. Just too much hassle to travel to pick it up.

Happy to bring my laptop around if you like, send me a PM.

I look forward to seeing this in person, it's purdy.

Milland - they often have some on TM but otherwise just give them a call. Edit: but I get mine from overseas - http://www.schmiedmann.com/

Better photos, nice move. Sexy as hell, I'd love to be able to afford it. GLWS.

What type of propulsion does the rocket cover use?

Drop these guys a line and see if they can make you one/some with the exact dimensions you need. http://decalal.biz/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_8

No a cluster test is just that, it's testing the cluster only. You have a cluster fault but I can't offer more than that sorry.

That's how to sell a car. Good pics, good description and a cert.

Lovely colour. Seats are in worse condition than mine and will cost thousands to restore properly for those that care, simply can't be done on the cheap. Yes you could get the bolsters fixed and the leather repainted but that'll still cost a grand and will flake off in less than 3 years. RHS indicator is a LHS one... wonder if they've been swapped or they're a matching pair? Either way check for guard replacement and/or rust.

I agree with you Greg it doesn't have chemistry... yet. I'm going to give it a chance. Top Gear US had no chemistry at all for most of the first season but by midway through season 2 that chemistry was locked and loaded.

Apparently error free, yes. I've not fitted the license plate lights yet and they're the ones that will trigger the error if they're bad. Will post final results in my project thread. You can pick them up on eBay cheap as chips (<$1 each), just check the size and amount you need. Typically 42mm (front festoon x3), 36mm (rear festoon x2) and 39mm for license plate x2 (looking for "CANBUS Error Free" on the latter). My bayonet map light LED's don't work, wrong polarity, need to research. They're bright, might want to go for the smallest overall SMD area possible.

Picked up some LED's to see how they'll look...

Hmm, have M3 sways and springs in storage...

Welcome, clean looking car and the 330 is a nice choice.

Welcome, that is a long haul but the right car for it I imagine! Pics please.

Car looks amazing, photos are useless.

IP address above resolves to 2kcup.com?

Cheers and I can always buy a new sticker if I need it. ///M logo is coloured, just poor lighting and a phone camera to blame. The colours aren't really bright but they are there.
