4k and negotiable, ripe for a manual swap? https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/130i/listing/3945277123 And 7k for a facelift auto from a dealer, drive away for $6.5k? https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/130i/listing/3944517817

Claim needs to be refiled in the District Court, Tribunal doesn't have relevant jurisdiction, that's obvious in this case and not their fault. Seller is still obviously liable.

I'd send Brent a message on here (BM World) to see if it's still available. Not sure on costs to paint... I still have my new one in a box... I should get that sorted! 🙄
-
^ Aero spoiler too...

Pretty sure that's one of the bits I have available but it's beat up: Yours for $0 if you can manage all the logistics from your end, happy to stick a shipping label on it but I have nothing to package it with. I was actually planning to throw it out tomorrow...
-
Where did you get that done Andrew, and are you happy with the results/value?

I was just thinking, having driven to Hamilton today, how annoying it is that Ford seems to be delivering all these new Rangers with apparently broken indicators, very few seem to work, I'm sure the drivers are just as upset.

Do all automatic e82 135i 's have the dct transmission
M3AN replied to Zeee's topic in General Discussion
Early ones came with Steptronic, I'm not sure if DCT was offered alongside. From about 2011 (?) they all came with DCT. -
As long as your wheels are 8.5" and have normal-ish offset there's nothing else to worry about.

I'm sure seeing those two pictures has shortened my life.

It's not particularly common to have no iDrive but NZ tends to get under-spec'd cars... surprised it has Xenons and dual PDC actually.

Our favourite Penrite HPR5 5w40 is 35% off... https://www.repco.co.nz/en/oils-fluids/engine-oils-fluids/engine-oil/penrite-hpr-5-5w-40-engine-oil-5l-hpr05005/p/A1030655

Short-lived sale unfortunately. 😥

These have now left my possession.

@Antallica - I'll try and remember to look at what I have tomorrow and post back. Of course if you don't have stop/start you do not need an AGM battery. I do recall getting a killer deal for a new Bosch battery for my M3 from https://www.mrpositive.co.nz/ a couple of years back, they might be worth a look.
-
No, but you'll still need to register it as a new battery.
-
Yes, they're the "M-Lite" brakes off a M135/140... although pricy, I paid less than half of that for mine (ex. UK) and they came with near new pads. Fronts are bolt on to the 130 (although wheel clearance needs to be carefully checked), rears are a total faff so I haven't installed them yet.

I like that ^ hue of white... 😇

Hmm... wonders the economics of buying, swapping bits, and reselling... 🤔

Just keep in mind that anything less than a specific M3 exhaust (e.g. 328 etc) will be 0.5" too small in diameter. Best to measure rather than assume if one does pop up.
-
I think they're H7 as standard? Potentially coupled with H1's? Either way, the +xxx% drop in ones are about the best you can legally do. I hate driving my M3 at night after getting used to the Xenons in my 130.

That's going to be a tough find in little old NZ... you'd be looking for NOS hidden away somewhere, something undamaged off a wreck, or somebody who has one but doesn't love it... and I'd say all those odds are vanishingly small. To up your chances you might want to offer a swap with your stock setup... very few M3 owners will remove an after market exhaust, even if they hate it, if they have nothing to replace it with. On the other hand, if you offered yours up and covered the cost to swap them over you might find a deeper well.

Wow, paint me surprised on both counts, volume and cost... 130i seems to be bargain of the era at <15k and Z4 at ~30k is ridiculously overpriced, even 20k looks like a terrible deal. Of course one needs to factor in personal circumstances, a 130i is likely to be a "main car" for most and a Z4 could well be a "second car" for many, and in that case those people wanting a Z4 may be prepared to pay more because it's a "luxury" purchase as opposed to a "necessity". Economics and all. Regardless, we're all in agreement that it's unlikely to sell at the current rate.

HeyZeus! It's raining S engines, my lord.
