  1. Thanks. I forgot the relisting changes the link.
  2. Bump. I'd like this out of my garage. I'm sure I'll miss it but such is life. $30,000 with the RAREM3 rego...
  3. It could be corroded because it's been on a salty boat for a month? But anyway.. it has cruise control!!!!! 😀 (just wanted to point that out)
  4. What's the motor? M62, S62? Trivial for you: The headlights are from a Mini, swapped left for right and right for left.
  5. The Horror... Hoped I'd never seen another of these after I left Canada 15 years ago. The are hopeless in all aspects, purely marketed to 'rich old guys' looking for nostalgia with a warranty (when new). Not made in manual... says it all.
  6. In some European countries (Italy, of note) the road taxes on engines over 2000cc are huge. Hence the existence of the Masseratti Bi-Turbo...1998cc , twin turbo. In the old days taxes were done purely on engine size. 518... a 'luxury automobile' with small taxes. I'd contest the seller claim that most came with auto transmissions. Due to the small engine and 'engaged' nature of European drivers, I'd expect most came with manual gearboxes... but just a guess.
  7. "The Kms are high," How many? (I have the identical car, in Arctic Silver 🙂 with 290k, going strong)
  8. IT has cruise control!!!! (since it's not NZ new). But, no airbags 😞
  9. Pffft... not motorsport... not manual...that price is some real dreaming.
  10. I have just been researching this as I want to change the oil in my diff and you need the right kind depending on the diff type. I have found that early Z3s had clutch diffs ands sometime in mid-late 99 they changed to torsen. This seems like reliable information to me, people saying the only way to tell what you have is to take the back off and look, but that the early ones definitely came with clutch diffs. What do you say to this? What is your statement based on? Also, IMHO the ABS can take care of locked wheels...I'd rather have a torsen, it doesn't wear out.
  11. I agree, it would seem they should be worth 10-12k but I think it's a small market. Another reason they are a good buy is they ALL have LSDs! (All 2.8s) I bought mine 4 years ago on a bit of a whim. Turned out to be an excellent decision. I put B6 Bilsteins on stock springs. I am all in on the top down motoring, such a pleasure to drive moderately quickly. The engine, gears and steering are perfect. If you buy one, put new HD front control arms on, it makes a huge difference. (factory arms have huge wobbly rubber bushings). Sorry for the rant....
  12. In my observation: roughish, high km, manual 2.8s are about $5-6k Nice condition ones are 7-8k
  13. I don't think the prices are going to get to this level for a while, yet. Very nice cars but.... dreamin'... particularly the red one. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/z3/listing/5360032457 https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/z3/listing/5395734395
  14. I agree with Eagle, the high point is manual, it's all down hill from there. Why do this era of cars suffer so regularly from radio failure?
  15. Don't get hung up on coupe. Sedan is the better car. Stiffer chassis, easy rear seat access. Frames on the windows!
  16. Dump. Make an offer if it appeals to you.
  17. Bump. Make an offer if it appeals to you.
  18. Geez, if you took 30 seconds to look up N43 on the 'net, like I did, you would never buy this car. And yet someone imported it from UK.
  19. Holy s**t a plain BMW with cruise control! How the... oh, it's imported from UK... of course.
  20. In in way, you are right. RHD clownshoes were only produced in M versions. LHD ones were available in 'pedestrian' formats.
  21. You're not insane... he's dreaming. A little while ago there was RHD Z3M (Roadster) 320hp for $25k on TM. As this isn't even complied, you could buy a manual one in the USA for nz$20k and ship it here for less than this. I don't understand why someone would bother it import a LHD, automatic BMW of any kind.
  22. The + Battery post cover is missing! That's dangerous and bizarre and more evidence of apathetic owners. Also the intake cover bolt covers are missing. Not a good look.
  23. It seems he thinks the carpet on the dash is a selling feature🤦‍♂️ Nice car but a few thousand over priced. But if it was manual... https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/5335013274
