  1. This is a good point, but how do you convince them it doesn't need changing?
  2. Lovely! Timeless. If only it were manual. GLWS
  3. Yes, thank you for your observation. I am only thinking of changing because my local WOF shop is, I believe, overly zealous and have said my rack may fail soon because of 'end play'. This seems crazy to me as it only has 135k kms on it. This is a bit off topic, but is this 'end play' a known issue? My 318i has >250k kms and it passes fine.
  4. What car is this from? Will it fit a Z3 2.8? Thanks.
  5. I agree completely. These are completely different beasts/buyers. Especially because you can't get an E60 with a manual transmission. The rules it out right there, and it's not nearly as good looking as the E39.
  6. TheTM ad says ‘5 speed’. Nice attention to detail. 🤦‍♂️
  7. What's the fuel economy, if you stay off the boost? Call it, motorway fuel economy.
  8. My car has a cover over (under?) the subwoofers in the rear parcel shelf, in the truck. Or are those not the OEM subwoofers?
  9. My 2cents...2 things concern me about the listing. The owner somehow 'forgot' it has a sunroof? Sketchy. Also, 'shrek' cam? I guess he means Schrick, again, not what you'd call a detail oriented owner.
  10. Ugh! Those aliexpress round M badges are horrible! A criminal offence even if it was an M car, which it isn't.
  11. This has been for sale off and on for the last 5 years. I don't think it has ever sold but I'm not certain.
  12. I need to replace the front control arms (lower bushes shot, rear bushing also worn). There some very cheap ones on TradeMe. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/bmw/suspension/listing/4903355112 This seems too good to be true. Are these rubbish? Are they Ok? Has anyone used them? There are also more expensive ones, which have the exact same description. Would these be any better? https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/bmw/suspension/listing/4903770253 I presume these are all Chinese... should they be avoided? I've priced it but I assume to buy Euro made ones from USA would be at least $400 and 2+ weeks wait, but is it worth it? Any help would be appreciated.
  13. Please post YouTube link.
  14. I suppose this is a silly point, since if you are spending this much on car I suppose that efficiency is not that important to you but, since you brought up the comparison to a Model 3... the model 3 is 25% more efficient than an i4. (that is, it uses 25% less energy (electricity) to go the same distance). BMW's luxury EVs have some of the worst efficiencies on the market, but I guess it's good they don't burn petrol? I will easily concede that I, as a BMW driver, would undoubtably be more 'at home' in the BMW. Also, I would never own a model 3 because the interior and gauges are ridiculous... made for techies, not drivers.
  15. It's like, it's like, you left the windows open in snow storm.
  16. Agreed. As well, I feel it'd have gone for more if it was a proper 3 pedal manual. What do others think on that?
  17. Geez how the might do fall. How much was this car new? $120k?
