I agree with Eagle, the high point is manual, it's all down hill from there. Why do this era of cars suffer so regularly from radio failure?

Don't get hung up on coupe. Sedan is the better car. Stiffer chassis, easy rear seat access. Frames on the windows!

Dump. Make an offer if it appeals to you.

Geez, if you took 30 seconds to look up N43 on the 'net, like I did, you would never buy this car. And yet someone imported it from UK.

Holy s**t a plain BMW with cruise control! How the... oh, it's imported from UK... of course.

In in way, you are right. RHD clownshoes were only produced in M versions. LHD ones were available in 'pedestrian' formats. -

You're not insane... he's dreaming. A little while ago there was RHD Z3M (Roadster) 320hp for $25k on TM. As this isn't even complied, you could buy a manual one in the USA for nz$20k and ship it here for less than this. I don't understand why someone would bother it import a LHD, automatic BMW of any kind. -

The + Battery post cover is missing! That's dangerous and bizarre and more evidence of apathetic owners. Also the intake cover bolt covers are missing. Not a good look. -

It seems he thinks the carpet on the dash is a selling feature🤦♂️ Nice car but a few thousand over priced. But if it was manual... https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/5335013274 -

Why is there a fireplace poker where the shifter should be?🤣

Omg. Some nice bits but soooo much wrong and so much wrong with the ad. ‘Rear’ Steering wheel… how is this possible🤦♂️. At least there’s no ‘spear’ parts. If only this energy could be directed toward good.

It is nice, and it has a towbar 🙂 It can be useful. Wish it had a sunroof. Imported from Japan 2017, how sure of the low kms can one be? It's very unusual for wheel bearings to be going at this low mileage. -
Listed on TM. To abide by the rules I'll price it at $3000. Offers welcome. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/personalised-plates/listing/5313550179

Nice car but priced like it's a manual, without a black grill.🤣 -

$200,000 extra because it weights 110kg less... seems worthwhile.🙄 -

95 E36 M3 Starting/Immobilizer Problem
topnotchrally replied to topnotchrally's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Eagle for the tip. I found the immobilizer, it was fine 😞 The problem was the ‘start detection relay’. A small relay in the fuse box. The documentation is a bid sketchy. There are actually 2 relays, one for the fuel pump and one for the starter, the documentation only shows one relay. I figured out which was which with a volt meter and I put the fuel pump one in place of the starter one. The starter then worked but wouldn’t start... no fuel. I took the relay out of the my 523i ‘rear window’ (thanks REALOEM for the location help), put it in for the fuel pump and wa-la, starts and runs. 🙂 Something to get on my next run to Pick-a-part. -
1995 E36 M3 Sedan. The starter has been dodgy for a few weeks. It wouldn't always engage when switched to 'start', but a redo would get it going sometime first try, sometimes another. Now it has quit all together. Nothing at all happens when switched to start, not a single sound. I suspected the immobilizer. I have just confirmed this by wrangling my arm and a 12v wire up underneath onto the the starter and found that the starter does infact work if it gets the 12V signal to the solenoid. Also confirmed no 12v when the key is switched to 'start'. Also confirmed there is 12v on the ignition switch in 'start' position.Getting to the point, finally, I can't find the immobilizer. See attached diagrams. Is 95 'early', or 'late'? Anyone have any experience finding the immobilizer relay? Or, is there another relay somewhere that has failed (not according to the wiring diagrams but who knows?) It would seem it's behind the glovebox but I'd like some confirmation before I go though all the trouble to remove the glovebox. I looked behind the LH speaker panel, there's nothing... or should it be RH since this is a RHD car and the diagrams show LHD? An interesting side note, I have been bump starting the car (push it, pop the clutch) which works no problem, so it seems the fuel pump is not controlled by the immobilizer. The wiring diagrams show that it is on some cars (Canada) and not on others (USA). So I guess it isn't on Europe as well, assuming I am correct about the immobilizer being the issue. Any help appreciated.

Yeah, careful not to slam the door on the seat belt.
