  1. Looks like a good buy for someone. These are getting closer and closer to E39 money! Turners link
  2. I have driven every car on that list (in some shape or form). I can confidently say that aside from a late model Legacy, I would not want to own any of them.
  3. A long lost relative of the late Antonie Dixon?
  4. Nissan Silvia? Honda Integra? If I owned anything on that list, I would be stoked it was stolen...
  5. I agree with the Caldina comments. A 406 HDI is also a good suggestion. If you want a large Euro wagon, check out a Saab 9-5. For under $10k you should be able to get something relatively late model. Try and stay with NZ new and go for the 2.3 Turbo.
  6. I guess it is the same as how many 70's Falcons have come out of the woodwork after prices have climbed (why anyone would pay $800k for an Aussie saloon is beyond me!!!). I guess those with E30 M3's have seen values climb and feel that now is a good time to jump!

I know it is tempting, but you should NEVER undertake. It is one of the most dangerous things you can do on a motorway. When someone is crawling on the outside lane, try sitting on their ass with your lights on full beam - works well for me.

Wow don't get too stressed - it's only a coffee. You really should just smile, nod your head and say "certainly" (after all, that is customer service).
  9. E36 and E34 tourings seem to very rare. What about an E46? If it was my money, I would buy something like this Audi A4 1.8T Avant manual, nz new for $8.5k. Also spotted the same thing, but with lower kms asking $11k. If you want reliability and peace of mind, go with a jappa. Friends of mine who have Caldinas rave about them.

I guess I am guilty of this. However, if you don't want your car discussed, don't list it for sale in the forum and certainly don't make comments such as "I can't work out why it hasn't sold", "what is it worth?".
  11. Passed in at $178k. Was suprised they didn't put it on the market at that price.
  12. No probs. Posted up the majority of the sold cars, but I did note what everything sold for, or if it didn't sell, what the highest bid was. Let me know if you want any more info. I think the red 996 had to be the buy of the day at under $65k (including premium). It was very tidy, NZ new, manual and had a nice factory body kit.
  13. It sounds harsh, but try using Jif and a bit of elbow grease to get rid of yellowing/cloudiness. Has worked for me in the past.

    E36 328i 1996

Oohhh... have you found an E39 touring? Look forward to hearing the details.
  15. I have started a new thread detailing prices of sold cars. Link
  16. 17. Well, keep it then. If you want to sell something (experience has taught me this) don't get precious about $1,000 - you could still be wanting to sell it in 6 months time and "market value" (the highest a buyer is willing to pay for said car) could have dropped into the low teens.
  18. I am sure you would get over $15k if you listed it as a $1 reserve auction. The hype created might even pump the price up a bit more. A bit risky, but if you want to the car gone, it is the most painless method.
  19. Was in the showroom at CCS's junk yard on Great South Road last weekend.

    The Anti Rice thread.

Don't know about the springs, but I think the wheels are a wothwhile investment. Makes it look a whole lot less like a rental car!
  21. Not much looks like "sensational" value, but in saying that the '03 911 and '04 Cayenne manual look well priced. Will take notes and report back to you all!
  22. Will be interesting to see what it goes for. RS4 prices have been quite high and stable for some time. I'm picking mid-80's

    Well, what do you expect?
  24. Anyone heading to Turners on Sat? No BMWs, but there is a BMW powered Bentley Arnage for sale at no reserve! Catalogue details here.
  25. M5 looks like a nice car. Will be a great buy for someone!
