What Jedi is saying is that for the average driver, a M3 would be much more fun than a GT2. I agree with this. I've driven a GT2, it was more scary than enjoyable as it had far too much power for someone (like me) with an average driving ability - remember this model has no ESP or traction control and is rear wheel drive.

A GT2 was my dream car too... Until I drove one. You need to have the precision of a helicopter pilot to keep it in a straight line! As for the 997 Turbo in the original post. Far too dear, as such it's been listed for ages.

I would buy a diesel auto 3 or 5 if you couldn't live with the 1M everyday. Make sure it's black or grey with black leather (so many UK imports on TM are hideous colours). If you buy a 3 or 5 don't buy manual - there is no market for them in NZ.

Spotted a few ads from these guys in the latest Octane UK magazine. The presentation of these vehicles, and descriptions etc are stunning! Most of the cars look brand new! Check out the selection of sold cars too - some nice E30 M3's 4 Star Classics Website

I think you are probably being a bit optimistic. Maybe go to turners and get them to put in writing what they think the car would sell for at auction. Well, what do you think your car is worth? A dealer would trade something like that for $1,500 and that is what they would base their valuation on. Im sorry but an E34 Touring isn't a classic...
