Stay away from Woosh. At times I have found dial up to be faster than their broadband!
  2. Why do you want one? IIRC, BMW first aid kits have about a 5 year 'best before' date. There wouldn't be much in there that you would want to use if an emergency did occur...
  3. Looks great. Ten times cooler than the usual black leather. I had the same interior in my E36 325i 4 door, which was Alpine White!
  4. Don't tell me you want them for your car. The blue and red colour combo would look 'interesting'...
  5. Looking good! I think black is the smarter choice, looks a bit more discreet and should be easier to sell when you move on in a couple of years. Whos is the Wgtn dealer nowadays?
  6. Buy some from eBay and grab a few extras when you order. You can flick the extras off on here or TradeMe for approx $30 each, which will subsidise your badge purchase.
  7. Sadly, I didn't bid. Am eyeing up an overseas opportunity at the moment and the Mrs convinced me that buying a car now would be a hassle. I tried to convince her that I could easily recoup the investment, but she wasn't sold. I don't really need a car as we currently walk to work. Looks like I will be sticking to a Corolla/Focus/whatever Hertz provides me with in the weekends! Edit: does anyone know what it sold for?
  8. +1 Surely those wheels alone are worth $2k?
  9. Surprised no one on here is all that interested in this... auction closes in just over an hour and current price is $8k. Surely that is cheap?

Sorry, I couldn't resist! Is the pic a teenaged Simon? Spotted on SniffPetrol.
  11. Or better... One of the owners or mods could write a press release from Bimmersport highlighting how car enthusiasts know a thing or two about love and relationships (as evidenced by the length of this thread) and how we would rather help a member out with advice on a romantic picnic instead of how to fix an overheating E30. If you fire it off to the NZ Press Association, surely it would get picked up by one of the papers (or even better still, TV) increasing the chances of Brook's girlfriend reading about it! A bit evil, but a good idea nonetheless.

    E32 735i

    Does it have any issues?
  13. Thanks bud. I like it, but maybe it is a bit conservative for me? A white 'rossa would be ideal, but a bit expensive and somewhat difficult for the Mrs. to paralell park. A Benz R109SL (ala Beverly Hills Cop) would also be the business, but probably not as practical as I would like for a daily driver. Will have a look at this 530i, who knows, it could be a minter. I will be annoyed if one of you muppets outbids me - hopefully hindsight doesn't suggest that posting this thread on here was a mistake!!!
  14. Will have a look and hopefully find out...
  15. Some form of suprise always works a treat!
  16. Coming up at Turners... '02 530i MSport, NZ new, 140kms, $13,500 - $14,500 I am seriously tempted on this one. A facelift 530i with Msport kit is my pick of the E39 range. Great also being NZ new and in silver with black leather and silver dash trim. Might head down for a closer look.
  17. Did you have to get new plates? I think the original ones would look best with the new paint job!
  18. Spotted on High St at lunchtime - a white Honda Civic Type-R hatch with flourescent green wheels! *vomit*
  19. Check out the rear wheel covers! Link to article.
  20. Hamann Ferrari California - looks pretty sweet!
  21. Looks like a nice car - good colour combo and desirable wheels. The V8 should be cheaper to run and more reliable than the V12.

    Cheap Ute

How big are the bikes? Toyota Surf's seem to be going cheaply these days - they are essentially a Hilux with a fixed roof!
  23. The sound of a V8 Ferrari at 8,000rpm
  24. I never said I had driven every variant, but had driven each model of vehicle in "some way shape or form". I worked for 4 different car yards over a 7 year period, ranging from cheap imports to performance japanese cars to new franchised european cars. In my opinion I wouldn't want to own any of the cars listed. That is my opinion and I am allowed it. No amount of persuasion would ever convince me that I would want to own a Silvia! Yep.
