Spotted this in Parnell on Saturday --> 2010 BMW 760 LI. Looked stunning!

I enjoyed it but thought the whole show seemed very scripted. The cool wall was excellent - especially when Clarkson told a guy in the audience that he didn't own a Ferrari because firstly he was fat, and secondly that he had a Ferarri hat (a Ferrari owner wouldn't wear Ferrari mechandise). The Carmageddon part was a bit lame though and the back stage passes were a waste of money. All in all, definately worth going to though!

I drove one about three years ago. It wasn't actually that bad, but I would much rather have either a normal auto or manual. It felt like you could count to three before it changed up or down and auto mode is very jerky. What really puts me off them is the horror stories relating to maintenance!

Version 1 SMG.... what a shame!

If they promised you a delivery date and failed to meet it, you are well within your rights to ask for a refund. Don't put up with rubbish service.

Get a nicely spec'd NZ new Legacy or Outback wagon. Reliable and more upmarket feeling than the equivalent Japanese car.

'89 Daihatsu Charade CX manual for sale. This is my step brothers car and he has left it sitting in our garage for nearly a year (whilst he has been away at uni). The WOF and Reg expired in April. I started the car last night and gave it a good run - there were no known issues. I'm interested to see if anyone is interested in buying the car as it sits. PM me - all offers considered. I want this out of the garage! Will be a bargain for someone with a bit of time on their hands. Otherwise I might try and get a WOF for it then throw it on TradeMe.

A C36 does have more "pedigree" than a 540i.. I think tidy ones will be worth something one day, as they are the first production AMG

Buy a Carrera 3.2 as a long term investment, but a 964 as a better daily driver. They are both great value at the moment. NZ new cars are very rare, but what ever you buy make sure it is thoroughly checked out by a specialist. As for being gutless, what is he used to driving? A 911 is all about how fast you can go around corners!

A nice car and are very good buying at the moment. However, you will need a lot of disposable income to keep for repairs and maintenance!

Yes, Telecom phone. NOW SOLD

Ah yes, must update that at some stage!

Price drop - $450

+1 I had an '88 E34 525i in the same colour. Can't for the life of me remember what it is called. Car is looking good, you must be pleased with your efforts!

Don't have access to Trademe here, but I did spot a nice looking NZ new 330ci cab in black on Trademe for under $30k. For a coupe, $26k should get you the best.

As the title says, I'm after a radar detector. Preferable a Bel or Valentine 1 - but would look at other options.

Hi all, Work are giving me a blackberry (don't know if it is a good or bad thing!) so I no longer need my Sony Ericsson w995A. I have had it for less than 3 months, and at the time it retailed for $999 (but the b*stards at Telecom dropped the price to $599 last week!) It is an awesome phone and I'm only selling it as I don't need two phones. Handy having a 8.1MP camera and 8gb storage for pics and music. Is compatible with Telecom mobile TV. Would look at trading/swapping for a radar detector (pref. Bel or V1). $500 - ono

A bargain for someone. Nice BMW 4.4 donk too! High kms, but a lot of bling for the money. Turners link.

Having a bit of a clear out at home. Was about the biff the box from my old Okta Touch, but had a look inside to find a few accessories. If anyone is unfortunate enough to own one of these phones, PM me if you want another stylus, leather pouch, headset or USB connector. Otherwise will go to the tip in the next couple of days.

Yes, sorry I meant mergers and acquisitions. I was typing that very fast - it sucks when you have to account for every six minutes!

You sound like a smart enough guy, why not give 7th Form a go? Unless you have a clearly defined sensible alternative, you will regret not doing 7th form. Ignore anyone who talks about "real life" or "real world" experience being the most valuable. You will not get your foot in the door at any decent organisation these days without some form of qualification. If you want to be entrepenuerial, why not start a business on the side whilst studying? If it turns to custard it doesn't matter, but if it booms you haven't wasted any time studying! Also don't take the 40 and 50 year olds who have no tertiary qualifications and are in senior management roles as justification for not going to uni - the times are changing and no longer are people going to uni just because they want to enter into a profession. Uni is also great fun. I did 5 years at Otago and those years were the best of my life (well, I'm only 24 so not really my entire life!) - I made some great friends, had a hell of a lot of fun and now have an LLB and BCom (Economics and Marketing double). I am currently working in mergers in acquisitions in one of NZ's largest law firms, but am off shortly to take up another role shortly. My new role, I beleive, would have been hard to obtain without my qualifications. I also have plenty of friends who did the most random degrees at Otago, but now all have great jobs (often in completely different fields) - again, roles that would be difficult to obtain without any qualifications. So... my recommendation is that you do 7th form and then go to uni (preferably away from home! -> being 18 + girls + booze + halls of residence = awesome times)

From Autocar UK website Don't get too excited - it doesn't look like it is going into production...

Hi Robyn. Looks like a nice car, you will have a lot of fun in it. These are great buying now - I'm considering buying my Mrs. one too.

Hideous colour, hideous ACS sticker, hideous rear wing, hideous E46 front end transplant etc etc etc
