  1. As the title says. I was looking on their website as needed some new materials and products. looks to be the whole range. I picked up some tyre dressing and rubber/plastic cleaner or dressing. First time using it, seems like good stuff. I know a lot of you guys like their stuff so would let you know just in case.
  2. But how will people know I’m a cashed up Ponsonby tradie without a blacked out Ranger?
  3. My F30 is covered under BMWs service and warranty plan ? But between my last post in this thread and when I traded it in Sept my X5 needed only rear brakes and oil changes. I’ll see myself out.
  4. I always assumed it came from being boxed in when they first introduced the X5M - they couldn’t call it the MX5 so had to go the other way.
  5. You’re not from round these parts are you?
  6. I saw this car on the western motorway today - I had to pull up alongside it and get a look. just wonderful.
  7. You should see it in China - it’s open to any make of car to have a M-Stripes!
  8. I like these cars, I think they’re cool and futuristic. what’s it like to drive? How’s the road noise when running?
  9. For those uninitiated like me, what is a 3-stage? Does this guy have a website or Facebook page we can look at?
  10. Wonderful work, well done! I always love these project threads - there is a certain tipping point where doing your own work just goes to another level as you can take the time and go the extra mile.
  11. I have used this on my F30, same colour. I think it works well - it’s still beading well after a month. I have found it not to be as “hydrophobic” as the videos online show - I may have done something wrong when applying it.
  12. I have the blue calipers on my F30. Love the look of them. These look nice, well done.
  13. The article suggests to me that Alpina will tune a non-M engine to get the desired result, or am I misreading something?

    Goodbye E70...

Don’t worry, the cat walked all over it the first night it was with us. I have pretty much given up. Although I’ve put a coat of the Meguiar hybrid ceramic on it which seems to have at least made a good barrier for the paintwork.

    Goodbye E70...

Hello F30. 2015 320D - very impressed with the mix of economy and the performance it delivers.

Silence, serf! In all seriousness, for the price it’s a pretty cool special weekend car. Although probably wouldn’t hold its value like a Lambo or Ferrari?
  17. My E70 works with my iPhone 8 Plus. So surely a software update would work.
  18. My thinking is that if the customer is not one to regularly wash their car well then it probably works. I usually have a coat of wax on the vehicle so I’ll stick with that and decline it. That and if you have to “maintain” with the GardX anyway, what’s the point? I think although the $900 is not too bad of you think about the time it will save you over say two years (assuming it does everything it should) if you’re not someone who lovingly washes and waxes their car. Let’s face it, most people have no interest in that.
  19. There is a thread here from 2008 but I figured things may (or may not) have moved on in 11 years. I have a new to me car coming from Auckland City BMW and they recommended GardX for around a grand. I’ll be honest, I’m somewhat a skeptic when it comes to these types of coatings but more and more people seem to be using them. I believe OCD is using a different brand, being ceramic which is priced at a similar level. Are these thing things really just for people who never wash their cars or are they good? Anyone actually had it applied by a dealer? The cost includes interior protection which I must admit does appeal to me to preserve the leather. Look forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts!
  20. Local govt has got to be one of the most hopeless talent pools out there. Hardly surprising when you look at what the average Auckland councillor is paid. Why would you bother?
  21. I was in looking at a 2015 320D Auckland City BMW had today. Nice car to drive. I have to agree, a lot of the NZ new cars I have seen are light on options and the interior of this car with 7Xkms on it felt tougher than my 12 year old X5 with 120Kms on it.
  22. Make sure Micks puts the proper NZD value on the invoice - I have been fighting DHL for two months now because some fool out 380 GBP not NZD on the commercial invoice for my rotors.... ?

    Quick rant thread.

Most cars from E60 upwards I believe have additional push buttons for fog lights, my E70 certainly does. I think people turn them all on without realising they have rear-facing fogs at all.

    Quick rant thread.

I’ll flip this one around on you: People driving with rear fog lights on when there is no fog so it’s difficult to see when they hit the brakes.
