Wonder if you could fit the engine in an E30?

Wave... I won't think you're weird! Are you another local? I see Milan (BEEMN) a fair bit locally too in his rather tasty motorsport E61.

My car? -
You might be right... Perhaps I just noticed it more on Euros!
-
Doesn't surprise me, the monochrome thing seems to be everywhere now... Trust bimmer to do it ahead of the pack though. Not a huge fan personally.... Still wish my car was red!
-
That's a bit harsh, Mike! Revert to the original tail lights and this would look fine IMO, though Kurt's right about the paint!

All the best for a tip top 2014 everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But as Skidz said, only Senna was an F1 Champ, right? But not the point... Hope he pulls through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can't help but see your touring on Richmond Road all the time... It's a good looking car! The E61 is infinitely preferable to the E60!

Gets better every time I see it, Martin.
-
Very tempted. Will PM you in the New Year - if you've still got it I might take it off your hands.
-
haha, thanks! Pretty certain yours get a similar treatment anyway - at least it looks like it whenever I see it!!
-
Thanks. It did have PFL chrome kidneys when I got it but it just looked a bit fussy with the splitters (which are CF so much greyer than the look in the pics) IMO. Good re: trimmer - I guess it wouldn't be that much to do it. Will get some prices in the New Year. Would like to replace the b/w roundels with genuine but haven't had much luck finding 82mm curved blue/white aluminium stickers for the wheel caps.

Xmas clean earlier today and a chance to show off the new streamlined look with the ACS wing mirrors. Surprisingly big difference. Looking forward to some Xmas cruising.
-
Very tidy!

Remind me what the touring is/looks like? I could be interested.

EBC red stuff. Got a pretty good deal - front and rears + delivery for just under $300. Would like to full brake kit but just too many $$$s. Have got some ideas for keeping the brakes cool to not have to.

Yes and no. The auto dip works but the position I want the mirror is already at it's lowest point (as I said, because they are so small there is limited adjustability) so the auto dip doesn't have anywhere to go! The look great though, big improvement. Took the glass out today and gave it a really good clean. Perfectly usable but the perfectionist in me wants to replace them at some point. Brake pads turned up today... Xmas job!

Yep... Top one. When I refurbished my RSIIs I painted plain silver (as original) but replaced the bolts with black bolts - looks good IMO and hides the dirt that builds around the bolts!!
-
Car looks very quick, Suresh. Looking forward to more footage!

Thanks Tom. They came up on TM for a song so couldn't pass them up. They look very cool but the actual mirrors aren't great (small and limited adjustability) so reverse parking's harder than it used to be!... I'll have to leave it even further away from curbs now to keep the wheels safe!! haha
