M-sport 540iA has 3.15 diff. Plenty quick enough acceleration. Standard 540s only 2.76, I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure where you got that from. The early manual E39 540s managed 0-60mph in 6.0 seconds - still very fast. Some of the late model M62TU engines reportedly 5.4-5.6 but only models produced after 2001, I believe. Have seen quite a few E34 threads saying that E34 M5 owners were a bit disgruntled that some E39 540s seemed to accelerate quicker - but the M5 is definitely faster.

Same steering but with a slightly shorter ratio. Rack and pinion in the 6-cyl models is definitely better but the 540 and M5 is by no means bad. I think 3pedals is being a bit extreme... As he likes to be Think I'd take the M5 simply because they are one of my favourite all time cars but would definitely love to have a go in an M3 powered 6-cyl E39... M3 powered motorsport 530i manual touring would be pretty much the perfect car!

Bought a set of these for my E39 but got sent the wrong ones. They're replacing but I thought I'd see if anyone wants these before I return them. For M3 bumper I believe (not motorsport as I originally posted). Paintable ABS plastic to fit m sport bumper (I presume). Welcome to check they fit before buying. I stopped playing ACIII online when a hack got published online and every 12-year-old foul-mouthed twit starting cheating. Just ruined the game. Haven't really played anything online since. No fun if it's not a level playing field.

I care about my interior so I don't want my car to sit out in the sun this summer without some kind of protection and because I'm pretty OCD I can't bring myself to put one of this shiny tinfoil shades in the windscreen... Generally, I'm a fan of sci fi titles and RPGs. Play a bit Assassin's Creed, Gears of War and Mass Effect online now and again. Not really a fan of the COD series or FPS games. Also play Fifa and Forza now and again but not online - just mates and beers. Yep, have a 3D TV and projector and screen in the shed for Fifa and beers - though don't have much time to play these days. Maybe 2-3 hours per week.

I've always preferred XB - mainly because of a couple of exclusive titles. Will get an XBOne when they add 3D compatibility. Apparently it's just a patch (which Sony are making available on launch day).

Would it be weird if I asked you to take a quick phone pic of the fake M5's exhaust system? Just wondering what they've done... Whether they've done it properly and cut out the spare wheel to make space for the quad, or if the exhaust is as silly as the M5 badge, like this:
