    "Rangi Mods"

A good friend Tom asked if we could help paint his ute last night so we did. After 2 tubs of bog, a grind, and a clogged spray gun.. we had it all done in a couple of hours. Working together is the key.. as you will see. We smashed out bog with a hammer, just to have a look, then just covered it up again. Metal reconstruction 101 Liquid metal worked a charm on this piece We fixed a rip/dent in the metal from where he went through a fence on the kaimais, noone will even know now. Sanding and painting done at the exact same time. The dust added to the green pearl of the paint. Final outcome should be posted today, it was too dark last night and then he drove home straight after completion.

Come to think of it, I do find it hard to believe you need an accurate odometer for a wof, and the guy is telling you to wind it back up. What the hell.
  5. Yes it's possible and it makes a lot easier just putting it back in with the gearbox attached as well, saves clambering under the car. Just stick with the 240, pretty much what John said.

You can take the gauge apart and wind it back using a bit of brute force. I recommend practising on another one first, I did manage to wind one back to zero once and it did work afterwards. Crack up that they didn't notice the engine, when I got a warrent I pointed my engine out and the guy just said "that's pretty neat."
  7. Here are some photos from Jase's Myface account
  8. I owned it for a few weeks, thought I'd put a 3.5 in it.. then decided against it and sold it on and got the e30 to do an engine swap in instead. It's pretty straight.
  9. The bmw club in Waikato / BOP had a meet on Saturday with the Jazz Festival on. A few pretty cool cars there, i even got to park my dunga in it! Here are some photos. A range of M3's there plus some more pretty cool examples.

Makes me wish I had the skills to undertake such a project. That is a great little setup.
  11. Most truthful quote ever on bimmersport! Top notch!
  12. Yes back on topic. I personally try to stay the hell away from getting addicted to things I drink, or eat, or chew, or whatever. I think I'm strange though, for example I've never had a cup of coffee in my entire life, purely because I don't want to end up relying on caffeine every day. Alcohol is probably the only thing I drink regularly ( not terribly much really ) that can have negative effects.
  13. We'd order a glass ( 150ml or so at a time ) of Vodka and just ask for some ice and a slice on lemon. Drink vodka, bite lemon if need be. A little more civilized than Vodka with Vodka, but still very simular intentions.
  14. My idea is cool, yet unrealistic. Due to The Terrace being pretty damn narrow at some points. http://www.mapmyrun.com/route/nz/wellingto...126983373435457 Has a bit of everything, including - a hill climb / drifting part up Roroa Road - a nice long ( loud ) straight directly outside the Prime Ministers residence on Glenmore Street. - Great views from my parents place as well, which would come in handy for me. - A possible improvement could be replacing the Terrace with the end of the Wellington Motorway, which would make the track have too long straights.
  15. Vodka + Vodka chaser is more optimal.
  16. This sounds like a fantastic idea. I've heard a few of these m54b30 projects are going on at the moment in godzone.

Just tell them it's a standard m50b25 and that they dont have to give a warrenty, or something simular.

This type of stuff reminds me of Burt Munro. Some good ingenuity there!

    I.S. Lip woes

I wish I had an iS lip to run over! I kept pulling my standard lip off before i cable tied it on, so an iS lip would be all over the place

  24. Shortened munroe shocks with what I think are 4cyl Jamex springs. Wheels stolen from Jase's car =D
