Just picked it up yesterday. '85 528i motorsport. 5 Speed manual, LSD, recaros, etc. Goes okay but I do want to put the 3.5 in it sometime soon. I also want to get it a bit lower, so if anyone has lowering springs for an e28, or knows where I can get some, let me know! Thought I would post up some first shots I just took today in the rain... as soon as it clears up and I find a nice place, I will take some decent photos!

I'm looking at getting some springs to lower the e28. Anyone know where I can get some in NZ? I have seen some on trademe previously, but none are on at the moment.

It's a really dark purple, but looks black at night. The photo, even though it is HDR'd, shows the colour pretty well.

For sale here we have.. - 1994 325i Coupe - 5 speed manual - black leather interior ( good condition but drivers door card needs retrimming / replacing ) - Good rubber on the front, rear is getting down. - Good condition for age - Body has done 194000km, the engine has done 140,000km ( engine came out of fully serviced crash damaged auto sedan ) - It aircon needs regassing, we had to disconnect it when we changed the engine over. So it's not "broken", I just needs gas. I would like $6200 but we can talk. What I would prefer to do is swap it for a E30 coupe with cash my way ( preferably enough for me to get all the parts to drop an m50 in it at least )

How much more expensive is that? I dont pay anything for my AA, when i was younger dad put me on his policy and has never taken me off it... works out good.

At least you got a free tow. When I blew my car up it was about 5k on the Auckland side of Huntly and I needed to get it to Hamilton. AA paid the first $40 and I paid other $250 to get it to Hamilton at 11pm at night. Ghey.

I'm guessing it's kitted out with a stock standard m40 to be honest.

I had the heater on full, but i also had the fan on full.. I'll remember next time to keep the fan off.

No I haven't. I think I will try and find a place that will do this today. I'm not sure if this proves anything but, if I run the car until warm, and come back a while later and coolant system still has pressure... So it isn't loosing it at a fast rate. Doesn't smell and there is no white smoke when the engine is warm.

I have always run normal run-of-the-mill ATF in the getrags I've had and it's worked absolutely fine.
