  1. Reminds me of the time I saw a mechanic from a local bike shop pass me on the express way in his work overalls on a nice RSV popping some wheelies ( some nice ones too ) down the road. Looked like a lot of fun, but it's not really what you would want when you send your lovely Aprilia in to get serviced.
  2. Door cards fall apart. #1 most annoying thing for me with e36's.
  3. It would be cool... if it wasn't a rotary
  4. What I have been told you can do, and what i want to do to my M50 is this. By the way mine is vanos. You get your inlet cam reground ( might cost a few hundy ) and get the INLET cam from a non-vanos m50 and put it on the exhaust side of a vanos m50. I am still doing research on it, but from what I have read that is the best idea, and cheaper than finding US S50 cams..
  5. Yep. Been in palmy the last 5 months though, but now back in Tauranga for a few weeks now, until I find a flat in Hamilton.. I live a lot of places lol.
  6. The good old days.... that commadore got a beating. Here is a pic of what it looks like now, I took this just the other day.
  7. Bogan ass video of you coming right up! And more of some notorious limp mode automatic skid attempts.
  8. The e36 had a m50b25 nonvanos in it, he wants to put it in his e30.
  9. Thought this was rather funny. A mate of mine in his $500 e36 thinking he's the mean rally driver! Dont worry, it had already been crashed, he just wants it for the engine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DdTOvDBFdc...re=channel_page
  10. This is one of the few cars I'd wouldn't want to be seen dead in more than a Mx5 itself!
  11. m50 turbo m50 turbo m50 turbo! on a serious note, if you wanna put a rotary in it, heaps of people have done it before, but i dont know if any of them are on here. And when it comes to "rooting for the underdog," having a old bmw in the first place that goes fast is basically the definition of that =P
  12. You dont need a cert if it's a factory gearbox. You probably should just ring and tell them, when my mate converted his e30 to manual he did and they just said "ok," when i converted mine I didnt even bother lol. Probably should of though.
  13. This. I have been told that because of the weight difference they are about even off the line. I'd say the m20 would have more pull up high though.
  14. I've been told it's pretty even.
  15. I think it depends on how much of a bastard you are to the car. One mate of mine has blown a fair few diffs in his e30, he has 220rwkw, he has gone through a few gearboxs as well if i recall properly. Another mate of mine has a m50b25 in his 320i, and he blew the diff up the other day just changing harshly into 3rd. Bigger axel and bigger diff and ya should be alright I guess, i have no idea how much power a standard driveshaft can handle though.
  16. Lol he put up a new auction exactly the same only the "M3" part is gone. I think he got the idea.
  17. My old e30 had a crackless dash, used to cover it with newspaper and other garbage i could find in the car whenever i parked it outside for anything longer than an hour on hot days.
  18. http://vimeo.com/3434096 another good vid from the same guy, with a few more bmws this time.
  19. Had my old 325i up to an indicated 220kmh going down a hill with a tail wind
