The bones of a good car are there. I reckon if it could be got for cheap enough it'd be worth putting the effort and time(not by me.lol) into putting back on the road.

Welcome to the forum. Nice to see someone who has their priorities sorted..lol Nice looking E30 you've gotten yourself. -
Ohhhh, Nappa leather too. Actually, I know this car. This is the guy I was getting all my parts from in Auckland. I can say it's been very well maintained and serviced regularly. If someone wanted a il this would be the one to get. On a side note. The cats really friendly..lol

Decided to complete a long overdue job today and got all the door handle lights working.

Thanks. It's hard to put a price on it when you know there are only 113 in the world. But at the same time I'm not in a hurry to sell and it's only listed here.

So glad nobody stole this off me at that price. Turns out it wasn't a intake gasket after all. A slightly flat battery was the culprit..lol Replaced with a good battery today and the cars running as it should.

I'm feeling like a bit of a dumbass at the moment. The 750i has been off the road for a couple of months because is started running very rough. Based on previous experience I thought these symptoms where related to the intake manifold gaskets. ha ha. So a while back the battery went flat and I took one out of a spare car and put that in. Worked well. For a while anyway. The car started running rough so I parked it. I needed to move it today so went out and ofcourse after sitting so long the battery was dead. I'd charged up the original battery last night and put that in and guess what? The cars running sweet as. I should have known from all the reading of done on these that they're very sensitive and a slightly low battery can cause all sorts of problems. So I've been cruising all day in the 750i with no problems. It's firing on all 12 and super smooth as it should be..

I wish. Just thought I'd throw it out there as the ultimate M sport E38. I was going to track down the owner and see if he'd consider selling but never got around to it. -

Reminds me of a joke about a Irishman who wrote a complaint to a tampon company that even after using their product he still couldn't ^^^^^^^ Nice 7 but a bit pricey. -
Normally I'd "like" someones post. But In this case I'm not so sure. I hope she's gone to a good home and we'll see it around on the forums.
-
Did you do it yourself or send it away?
-
^^^^^ What he said.

Cheers. I'll have a look around and see if I can find a OBD cable locally. Driving the V8 as a daily is good but I'm starting to miss having the V12 as an option. lol

So for a total novice with these programs which would be the best to start with. All I really want to do is read the codes to diagnose issues with the car?
-
Or did you download it? With one of my E38's not running right I'm thinking it's about time I got myself INPA or something similar. So are you using INPA or something else and where did you get it? Bought and payed for or found online?
-
Just because. I'd rather have this one. http://www.japan-partner.com/Auto/24910/BMW/BMW%C2%81@ALPINA/car-for-sale.html
