  1. Most of them had it I think. 3 of mine have it though I'm not to sure about the 735i. Neat little option that allows you to set it for certain time and it will ventilate/blow external air through the car for you. I have mine set for 1650 and1655 hrs so when I get to the car after work it's not like getting into a oven.
  2. NIce E38. A lot over priced though. And it doesn't have an aftermarket stereo as he states. It's got the standard 16:9 display and the second amp he mentions will be running the sub in the boot. Pitty I cant see the plates. I'd be interested in what running the vin would turn up. And those rear vanity headrest and picnic tables. WOW. Not a L7 option as he stated. They were an option for the 750i/il's. Super rare and VERY expencive if you want to retro fit them. They normally sell for around $1500 usd and thats if you can find them. If I was looking for another e38 I'd be looking at the on though. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1020540874.htm

    E28 Low Rider

    Liking that throttle linkage.
  5. How did you get on with this? Did a new module clear the other codes? I've got the F0 internal error showing on my 750i so cant clear the codes at all. Looks like I'll be needing to get a new module coded to the car.
  6. One of those little jobs that bugs you but get's put in the "when I get a round to it" category. The top adjustment of the passenger seat has never worked and cause I never sit in it the only reason it's ever bothered me is that is never matched the positioning of the drivers seat. Pedantic? Anyway, I pulled the passenger seat from the parts car today to get at the seat belt buckle and tensioner in an effort to fix the SRS issues on the 750i. Got fed up with that job and didn't really feel like pulling another seat out of the 750i today so I decided I'd finally get around to fixing the passenger seat in the 740i(5 years later). In the end it only took about a hour. Old motor out. New motor in and all is working as it should. Before and after.
  7. lol, that wasn't you on the bridge was it?
  8. Bummer about the AC Brent. But a sigh of relief it wasn't coolant.
  9. All this interest in E38's Someone should make me a serious offer on my Individual, number 51 of 113 ever made.
  10. Driven past this a few times but never stopped to really look at it. Very very tidy inside and out. I wouldn't have a clue what they're worth.
  11. Took the 740i for a drive to Welly today and met up with some great people.
  12. Yup, if I'd seen that I would have wanted to save it. Far too nice to wreck.

    95 E38 740i

On the way back from the meet today I had to stop and take some gratuitous shots of my car..
  14. Here's a couple I found and theres a ton more with all the info you want from a quick google search. https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=bmw+e39+lowered&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=979&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiQs6v776zKAhUGnZQKHRSDA-QQsAQIGQ If your already scraping on driveways you probably don't want to go much lower. Then there's ride quality as well. The lower you go the harder it will get. You need to find a nice medium between looks and driveability. Nex Coilovers. FK Silverline coilovers
  15. The Grey wood would definitely look interesting with tan leather if you like contrast..lol Yeah, I like it a lot too and wanted to put it in the 740i but it wont match the wood handles and porn lights I've added I could always buy another 7 just to put the wood in though..ha ha
  16. Here is a complete set of very rare Esche Grau/Ash Grey wood set for a E38. There are no cracks or scratches in this wood trim and and every piece is in excellent condition. If you want something different for your E38 this is it. $400 firm. I could sell it for more than that in England or Australia but thought I'd offer it here first. A quick google search will reveal just how rare this wood trim is.
  17. lol, NUSTAD pm'd me the link to that one earlier. It's nice but it's pre facelift so there where heaps of them made. In saying that. It is the first pre facelift 750i I've seen in NZ.. Which is one less than the two facelift 750i's..lol Someone should offer him 2k for it. Would be a bargain at that price.
  18. Thats a win. Much improved from before.
  19. I did about 2 weeks ago but the poor cars been sitting and gathering dust. I good wash is all it needs(again)..lol

    Hey

Welcome to the forum and the Bimmer addiction..lol
  21. Gave it a wash today. Looking pretty again. Then because I washed it at my Fathers house he commented about how nice it was looking and that he wished he had time to wash and polish his Spitfire now that it's registered and wof'd for summer. Then he pulled it out of the shed and lamented in front of me about how dull the paint was looking. After a few more not so subtle comments I relented and gave it a wash, clay bar, cut and polish..lol Before. After.
  22. Thought I was going to have to replace the high pressure power steer line so I took a good one out of the 730i and then put the 740i up on the jack stands. Turns out it was a loose hose clamp. I got 2 turns out of it. Nice n tight now so fingers crossed no more leak. After the stone chip that cracked the windscreen last week I took it in for a replacement today. old. new.
