  1. Welcome back to the forum Bear. Hope you'll bring it along next Sunday.
  2. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase. Happy motoring and post up some more pics when you can.
  3. Singapore import and when I ran the vin there was nothing special there. Would be ok at half that price.
  4. lol. Always the way with projects. One thing leads to another and then another and the list of things to do seems to keep growing.. Keep on with it. And post up some more pics when you progress.
  5. Welcome to the forum. You might have to start a project thread for that one..lol
  6. Very cool Martin. Great car, great roads and views all equals an awesome driving experience. What more could you ask for?
  7. The Boss might want you to get her one of her own soon.

    Quick rant thread.

Having a truck traveling the other way through road works at close to 100kph and throwing stones all over the place. What a dick.
  9. Cant match the 10 pounder but we had a good day today as well. Yesterday got a bit rough and we only got 5 fish. Cant argue with the view. And a good mixed bag of Blues, Gurnard and some Snapper.
  10. one V12 two v12's. https://youtu.be/aUhS7_6QEe0?t=39s
  11. Finishing a run of 10 night shifts at 6am this morning then going to pick up my boat and go fishing. Should be s gorgeous day out there and fingers crossed the fish are biting. If they aren't I'll put my feet up and have a snooze to the sounds of water lapping at the side of the boat. What could be better?
  12. Welcome to the forum. Nice E21 you have there.
  13. ha ha, car yard connections will come in handy on this one. I'll be on to it tomorrow..
  14. Glenn(NUSTAD) sent me this today that he spotted. So I dont have the only one in NZ after all. And I'm not dissapointed about it either..lol 2000 750i with the M sport package. low kms at 117k and I want it so bad...lol

    Anyone use Gull?

Filled up the 750i and then went straight back with the 740i. Filling up two 80 liter tanks that were both almost empty saved me approx $33. Definitely worth waiting in line for 5 mins.
  16. To add to th pic above I came across this today. Frigging awesome. Pity it's Photoshop and not real.
  17. ha ha ha. Well, I did say I'd follow you up and I am a man of my word. And when it wasn't smoking the view was rather nice. Especially when getting a glimpse of the deep dish rims as you were cornering.
  18. Faulty rocker cover gasket I believe. Fortunately Andy was able to source a new gasket and do the repair in Auckland.
  19. lol. Cabin filters in the 750i might need a change.. rofl. Glad it wasn't anything major in the end.
  20. Poor picture quality because of my ph but followed this E38 all the way from Wanganui to Auckland on the weekend of the ECC meet. The owner shall remain nameless. Andy. Woops. In true Bond style throwing out a smoke screen.
  21. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-240089175.htm This has been posted about before. Super low km E39 that's been for sale for ages. I couldn't find the last thread about it where I said if I drove past it again I'd take some pics. I was in Palmerston North today so swung past and had another look. It's really deteriorating sitting in the back of the yard. Poor pics bacause they were taken with my crappy ph..lol So here's what 15k will get you..lol Clear coat is peeling off the bumpers and wing mirrors. Roof has faded badly in the sun. Light lenses are shot and lights aren't fitting right. Wood across the glovebox is peeling away. At the end of the day its just a less than average 540i with a bodykit and a nice set of wheels. The only thing it really has going for it is the low km's but even then it's been sitting in a corner of the yard for years now. Imagine the work you'd have to do to replacing everything that has dired out and gone brittle. $15000 my ass.
  22. The guy at the paint shop who mixed it reckoned it should hold up ok. I guess we'll find out..lol. If not then it's only a couple of bolts to get them off again and repaint them a more generic color.
  23. Latest project for the 740i is 750il disks and calipers. Turns out the disk that came with them aren't within spec so are no good for re surfacing and I'll have to buy new ones. In the mean time I've been painting the calipers. Decided to go with the same color as the car. Navarraviolet. Hard to get a good pic without them looking brown.
  24. Mmmmm, Style 95's are one set of wheels I love on the E38. In fact they look good on most Bimmers.
