Is your frame damaged? Or has the roof just jammed up? You can buy all the replacement parts off the shelf (apart from the frame) from Pelican Parts. Shipping can be a little expensive.

Maybe Kayne Barrie? As he runs an M70 in his Rally E34. He had a spare motor when i last looked. Kayne Barrie Motorsport - 0274 975 330

That's lucky. I got pulled over when doing less than the speed limit just for my plates on the Shore. Shore Traffic cops have nothing better to do. Less speeding Audi's out this way? Was looking at the car the other day and thinking how much better it looked with my old plates that fit correctly. Plates that didn't require holes drilled through the letters because all the mounting holes are incorrect for every vehicle I have ever owned.

She is mint. But that is mint M635 money. Needs that beautiful S30.
-
I would love to actually. But the M325i is pretty rough at the moment. Needs paint and some electrical. I might have my race car sponsorship removed if I turned up with another car.

Did I miss you sarcasm? This has been covered in multiple threads over many years on bimmersport. Sift through this giant 35 page thread. There is many an explanation. Many a heartbreaking story. Mostly about people buying them. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/33451-fs-custom-germaneuroplates/?hl=%20euro%20%20plates Edit: I must have missed something as you have posted in that thread. Are you talking about the Kiwi emblems at the ends of the plate?

Pitstop Albany or Grey Lynn. My friend AJ owns them both but is currently based at Albany. Has owned and still owns many performance cars. Including V8 BMW's. Has done all the exhausts on all of my cars in the past. Actually listens to what you have to say. You will get what you pay for. However if you want something for a race car then Dan Slater is your man. His precision and craftsmanship is just amazing. I wouldn't want anything less on an M3 if that's what your getting done. Heard nothing but bad stories about Wolf. Surprised to hear people recommending them.

You must have a real attachment to the E30. Because IMO E34>E30.

I did that drive but clockwise a few years back minus the track days. Amazing drive. Hope you get a great day when you drive from Haast to Wanaka as the scenery is amazing. I used about $700 worth of Fuel. But that was cruising in a XK8 4ltr V8 Jag. So no putting the foot down really.

Can imagine the drivers must look something like this
-
Sorry just curious. Where is the original one? You don't seem the type but the last person I saw asking this question on FB had purchased a hot one and didn't get the power brick with it.

E30's seem to be going the other way. Worth more and more for good and collectible ones.

Hmm I was paying about $500 through AA for what I paid for the car which was about $5800 about 2 or 3 years back. Swan sounds like a good go. This is my main car but not the main car we use. Our main car is actually my Mrs Dihatsu Rocky which we take to places like the supermarket. For any other trips we take the E30. Wonder if that counts. I think I will cover myself for around $8K so that I can buy another one if I ever lost this one. Just want to make sure I get what I am paying for if I ever need to claim.

Does anybody have a clue what a 87 PFL M325i is worth these days. I have to give the insurance company a figure so I am paying the right amount and don't end up with E30 318i money if it goes missing. There seems to have been none sold recently that I can find. (That were not crashed wrecks). Trademe prices for E30's are a poor indication of value. People are asking 7K+ for stock 320i's (in great nick). My car is a rust free UK 87 M325i Factory no power steering No Air con Tidy interior (bar the fricken dash) 15x7 BBS R003's Is diamond schwartz (soon to get a full respray as the original pain is stone chipped and had it) Rebuilt factory motor All new belts including cam belt, new water pump etc. New clutch Around 210,000miles Rust free sunroof body (not repaired just lucky) She is well used and is my daily driver. She does need some love though as it is no garage queen. Driven like you would drive it.

Also interested. To chop them up and recover my front seats with the material. Need pics to match against mine.

A BMW i8 has been written off already. Test driver hit a barrier. Have a read of this horrible Jalopnik page. Avoid the dribble that is in the comments section. Jalopnik comments make youtube comments seem like they are truly informative. http://jalopnik.com/this-is-the-first-bmw-i8-crash-1504986694?utm_campaign=socialflow_jalopnik_facebook&utm_source=jalopnik_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow

Friends place in Palmy had the loose stuff in their kitchen smashed. The Wakataki out at Castle Point lost quite a few beers and wines but nothing else. Partners Father riding his motorbike out that way didn't even know it had happened.
-
Don't do it. I have seen it before and it looked very early 2000's tacky.
-
Yep sure is. Curla and his son Lindsey. We stayed in his batch down at Ngawi over New Years. Family friends of my Mrs' family.

Jesus mate. You can buy a full turbo kit and install it for less than 10K. I just did this on my E34 for around 10K. I only said the 3.2 was in good condition, which it is. It looks immaculate. Plus the comment was aimed at Brent who is capable of doing this himself. His post has been deleted removing the linked quote, removing the context of my post. So calm down. sh*t happens.
-
Friends of ours own the Pub out at Castlepoint. No word from them yet. My Mrs' father was riding his motorbike out there and we haven't heard from him just yet either. sh*t reception out there at the best of times though.
-
Oh I remember who he is now. Was trying to misrepresent that bitsa E34 as a real 535is.
-
reasonably priced low mileage US spec M3
Driftit replied to lord_jagganath's topic in TradeMe discussions
I dunno about that Brent. Would rather the 3.2 with a VAC turbo kit. Should be less than 25K and this car looks in better nick. -
You could buy the Green one for 15K and buy a turbo kit from VAC and end up with a 3.2 in good condition for the same price.

Good thing it kept you safe with your off. But saying nobody has died in an E39 is a bit of a laugh. Few years back a full car load of kids in an M5 hit a tree mid flight. They were ripped to shreds as well as the car. Physics always wins.
