  1. Yeah I will be honest and say I am not likely to ever join another series with my car. The change in safety regulations and track cost increases have put an already expensive sport even further out of reach. There are far fewer track days thanks to the closure of Puke and sale of Hampton and Taupo. And Playday On Track has pretty much been killed off due to this. Even silly things like I am not able to go passenger in a car without a roll cage to teach them how to get around the track anymore. But if I did want to take a passenger in a car with a roll cage they are required to have the same safety gear as me including Hans device. Just so you are aware. It is not as easy as it once was.
  2. I actually just received this a few hours ago too. https://mailchi.mp/racetech/free-freight-december-16829944?e=29ee258ff0
  3. Take a look at Gforce racing gear out of the US. It's the cheap end but good enough quality for track days. A speed shop I purchased a bit of gear through while I was there is OG racing in Virginia. The do ship to NZ.

    Quick rant thread.

We tried to get our 200sx certified. The guy didn't like the way the ABS felt. Factory stock standard late 80's Nissan ABS. He would not issue the cert until we sorted it out. It functioned 100% the way it should have. But he didn't like the way it felt... Still not certified 7 years later. Just can't be assed dealing with all that BS again.

You could be doing warp 10 and some tosser in a ute will be pissy about it. Ranger Danger is real.
  6. Classic Cover. They even cover my currently laid up racecar and all it's spares for like $300 a year.
  7. I have those wheels. Absolute assholes to clean and keep clean.
  8. Yup someone really stuffed up there. Could have almost been a 1 in front of that.
  9. Scour Facebook marketplace for a good deal. So many people buy all the gear but have no idea and sell up. Been watching Mike from Stanceworks on YouTube build his K series powered Ferrari time attack car. He does some printing with this stuff. Pretty cool. https://store.bambulab.com/products/petg-cf
  10. Times have changed. More than one person talking about the worst spec E30 there is.
  11. I was going to comment that I don't like grey interiors...

They do a smaller plate now. I see all sorts of junk like Rav4s and Rangers with them.

Bad timing to need a full set of rotors and pads. Shipping is the most expensive I have seen to NZ and so few places don't charge GST at the transaction now.
  14. If not in the cabling then it could be the module itself.
  15. How are you seeing those codes? INPA may show more detail.

Ask for a viewing and if they are yours give them a choice. Hand them over or get the cops involved.

Also something to make you laugh and a reason I buy pretty much nothing from Repco. https://www.repco.co.nz/parts-service/filtration/oil-filters/ryco-oil-filter-cartridge-r2673k/p/A6146792?kwSearch=shop_this_vehicle $90 for a filter...... Hengst filters are $35 from BNT.
  20. NZ New - Oddly/Poorly spec'd with an old man interior. Nearly every time.
  21. Seen a few in real life now. Find them oversized and no prettier than my initial reaction. Still can't believe the new M2 has a base curb weight of 1730kgs. Just 5kgs lighter than my W211 E55 Luxo barge.

Yeah you can install Kodi on many devices. The best all in one option is on a Google TV device. They are between $70 and $100 usually. Come with a remote and you can install any android apps you like on it. Then you just need a skygo account login from mate or family member. Then follow the guide from this guy https://www.matthuisman.nz/2021/05/sky-go-nz-kodi-add-on.html Every now and then it needs an update. But just return to this guys page and he patches it very quickly. This is how I am watching the Supercars racing this weekend.

Kodi and the Sky plugin for it with a shared account. Sky can't tell how many people are using the account. So the cost can be shared between however many people you feel is fair. The laugh is that Kodi running this plugin is far faster than any Sky hardware and has far more features for recording, ability to auto remove ads etc. Takes a little know how but can be a cheap option and it is all well documented. I have it running on a small old Intel NUC that lives behind my LG TV. It also runs Plex and a few other UI's as the LG software is utter crap.
  24. I like it. But a lady at work was walking past and saw me playing with the configurator and said she likes that Holden and what a pretty colour. Oof. I should have shown her the Ford Mustang with the frontal damage (M4).
  25. They still do Techno Violet on this Holden Commodore.
