Glenn. As long as the dealers car was boarder checked (ie Landed in NZ) before the 31st of Dec then he has nothing to worry about. It is the cars arriving after the 31st that have to comply to the new regulations. Some cars are boarder checked in Japan though. Depends on who is transporting the cars. As for the 20 year rule. I think this is a case by case thing now. You have to apply to import the car as a classic. And I hear there is only so many allowed per year. This is to stop the dealers abusing the system and importing a whole bunch of old jap sh*t. Which is what the impact and emmisions laws were introduced to stop.

Wear your 6 point harness correctly *NSFW* It's pretty graphic, you have been warned http://briskoda.net/motorsport-discussion/...me-pics/129912/

The "JDM" drifting look is good. But I prefer a cleaner look like above. Recognise the wheels in the 2nd pic Kerushan?

This thing looked stock. It was like he was trying to copy a good matte paintjob like you see on some cars overseas. But this was just fail. Looked really bad. Half finished project bad.

Was out in manurewa today dropping some stuff at HPC. I drove past the most rugged looking E46 I have ever seen. Was matte black. But not a nice matte. Sort of looked like a primer base. Wondering if someone on here knows the cars story. Is it a project or something?

I see. So I guess this would work really well on a stainless manifold. Might look into it if I have to pull off my turbo on the 180sx. Didn't think there would be any difference on the E30 though. Also have some heat wrap for the front part of the exhaust. Prob helps with the drivers floor heating up and melting your shoe. My Jandle started getting sticky the other day!

Dropped off some bits to get coated today for the race series car. Did read on their website that there can be performance increases from coatings on the exhaust manifold and exhaust. Not really concerned on the series car as I doubt it would make any difference with such low power. My stuff is more cosmetics. Has anyone had experiance with this?

PickaPart? Bound to have one.

Yes Lefty Tighty Right Loosey. Haha. I used a little penetrating oil too.

Ok well the ireland rockers are the only ones that are in my price range so I wont be getting any. Just stock ones. What is wrong with the ireland engineering stuff though. I know quite a few people using various items. No complaints so far. And their prices are pretty good conpaired to what you can get here.

Hey guys. Just a quick question. A reground brand new billet cam for $480 inc a good price? From Kelfords. They supply the billet? Sounds good to me. Also have been looking at these rockers from Ireland Engineering. http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFro...et=products.asp But do you think they are really necessary. I am only doing slight head work at this stage. They are pricey at $25 US each. Bumping just over $600NZD for a set. Ouch. But they are 1/4 of the price of solid billet alloy ones.

Ah they do this every year Shelly. Guys go from shop to shop in Botany selling them. My mte purchased one off the guy for $10 two years back. Was the last one he had and he just wanted to go. Never used any of the discounts.

I also thought Remington was a very trusted brand. Been around long enough. Only guns I have fired is a 308, and a modern .22. Dad use to be the Nelson Boys rifle captin but for some reason never got me into it. Loved target shooting in Scouts and Cubs when i was little though.

Hahaha sounds like some eastern european porn title.

Wow also glad your not hurt from that Glenn. Lucky by the sounds of things. Also not a fan of those stupid Keke's. Bloody things use to rip in to my rubbish bags and spread it everywhere when I lived in Botany. Botany Downs is just full of them. If you lived over the other side of Ti Irangi where that estery is Shelly you would soon loose your like for them.

Autolign on Carbine Road. Or Suspention Tech on Andromeda Cresent in East Tamaki. They are the pros for wheel alignments. Autolign align many race cars. They are the cheaper of the two. About $70 for a full state of the art alignment by alignment pros. Personaly I don't bother with tyre shops. Very few of them know what they are doing.

You could buy my 325i for $5500. But it needs its cam and escentrics replaced. Other than that it recently dynoed at 102rwkw. Has brand new custom Bilsteins. Recaro interior. Factory manual and LSD. 15X8 wheels. I am sure you have seen it. But $5500 is not the cheaper side for a 325 PFL. Only reason I would sell it would be to pick up a facelift Mtech2 and continue building my M20B28 for it.

Oh yeah sorry was thinking 316 but typed 318 anyway. Started drinking early. Building a deck you see. Is a minter though.
-
Glenn at Botany motorworx has one of the most tidy 318 FL's I have seen for sale. It is mint. Thousands spent on it and has a few goodies too.

Yeah I was just checking out my house. I was home the day the camera went past as both my BMW's are in the driveway. And by the state of my Racecar this was taken around this time last year. Gotta be great for the smart thief who wants to see how you park your cars.
-
Haha nice yeah would really haul with busa in it.

Tis cheap! But I would not trust Tau Corp. Filthy Liers that cost me thousands!

Was getting a WOF today and spotted this little beast parked up. Was soo small. Mini sized. Walked up to see there was no motor in the front! Awesome! RR layout! The Suzuki Coupe! Have never seen one before. I want it! Would be such a good runabout. Parked next to a massive fat S14 Parked next to the even more massive BMW 3.0 Tech details http://www.suzuki-sc100.demon.co.uk/techspec.htm

I also could not stream it. Even with my "Full Line Speed" from Telecon. But was not such a massive wait. Will be good once people start upping their HD Motorsport on a regular basis.

Cheers was a good read. But unfortunately I have a budget where by the looks of things he did not.
