Check for the "Tamper" dot on the dash. It is a dead giveaway that the car has done more mileage than stated. Quite common when from Singapore/HK. My brother owned a low km's 2000 728i. Everything that could go wrong with it did. It was an electrical nightmare.

Why not. An M3 is over double that price. The next best thing in immaculate condition will be chasing at least half that price these days.

For lots of money yes. I want something by Friday. Might be selling the car on.

Still need one. I have a centre but the pinion shaft bearings are shot. Unless someone can help me sort that out instead.

Haha and to think I nearly let my E30 go for $7K.

It is out of Aaron Harris' E36 race car. Ran in the open series. One of the fastest BMW's in NZ. Car was damaged so he stripped it down. EVERYTHING has been done to that motor.

If you want an all rounder with great economy I recommend the 530D or 535D. They really do haul ass. I can get over 1100kms on one tank on the open road. Cost $1.05per liter and Rego is being cut quite a bit in July. Beating E39 540's onto the motorway is always a laugh. Most of them are high spec too. Perfect weekend getaway car. Even towing an E30 on a heavy car trailer from Wellington I still got 10L/100kms.

Have a look at what Daveo said about his in the projects area of the forum. Have a dig for it. He ended up replacing it with an E63 AMG and never looked back.

Tom took me around Puke in his CSL. Loved it. But my god is it different to a stock M3. Zero interest in the E46 M3 unless it was a CSL. I find them very lackluster. But I bet people said that about the E30 M3 and if it wasn't an Evo.

Seen it happen dozens of times back in the old days. Watched a young guy in his fathers brand new V8 Falcon do pretty much the same thing but ended up hitting a car, a park bench and a wall. On Queen Street doing maybe 20-30kph. Going back like 15 years though haha.

Most shops will give you the standard alignment the machine tells them to. Tyrepro was one of these from past experiences. Got it sorted by Autolign/Racelign on Carbine Road. Though I was not getting a stock setup. I would go to the effort of seeing Peter and Graham Ball at P&S Autocenter in East Tamaki. They are very very good. There is a reason why pretty much all the BMW racers out East go to them. Place you can head out to Kaiawa afterwards to test it.

Youshop is sh*t. Overpriced, Slow, doesn't consolidate items. E.g. The mrs ordered some small items in the states from Amazon. 3 items sent and 1 was on back order and got sent on its own. A $5 nail polish. Because they don't consolidate they wanted $15 to send a tiny extremely light box with a nail polish in it. In the end it cost more in shipping due to Youshops extreme prices than the items cost total. And it took 2 weeks to get them here. They got to keep the nail polish.

Nice. Reminds me of Youshop. But everything that was sent there was accepted by the new resident when Youshop had moved. 100's of packages went missing.

Spent Xmas/New Years down in the Waiarapa and Wellington. Did not see one decent BMW the entire time and we did a lot of driving. What's going on down there.

Keep your eyes peeled. They will show up on another E30 or some Honda.

The body kit, motor, gearbox are worth more than 1K individually.

And there is sh*t E30's for sale for more than that. lol
