How many you want? I should have a few spares.

Pulled the front struts out of the e36, ready for a nice shiny pair of bilsteins to go in, then it rained.

Followed my wagons slightly dirtier cousin into Carls jr on Paul Mathews rd, had to park up and get a photo.

Not sure if your car has this but in the e39 I could turn the traction control half off, so it would apply the brakes but not cut the power when you had wheelspin. If you have a setting like that it is probably a good compromise, Depending on how serious you want to get a tyre pressure gauge might also be a good idea.

My first thought was dead coil, as Brent said check for spark next time it dies.

No it seems now we get some POS ute with wrecking balls tied to the bumpers on a merry go round!! Health and safety is ruining everything!

The alternator was from a wagon R or something similar, starter was from a civic, not sure what model, and I had to cut and weld the housing.

I jumped the fence and fitted a suzuki alternator to my M10B20 for my e21, was nearly half the weight, also fitted a honda starter motor, saved somewhere around 4Kg doing both!!

I suspect the dealer will have no recollection of saying that if you ever have a problem with it !!

Its because they are so reliable, right?

In my experience the tyre wear on my lowered e36 is not anywhere near the same ballpark as the wear on my stock height e39, I was replacing 2-3 sets of rear tyres for every set of fronts and the most drastic improvement by far was after changing to a higher load rated tyre, im not saying it will make up for worn bushes or bad alignment, but for me there was no downside.
-
Care to share how you set up your e39 to get rid of that uneven wear? I am genuinely curious.
-
Whatever you get make sure it has a high load rating (100+), the rear suspension in the e39 will chew out the inside corners pretty quickly otherwise.

These are all new, genuine parts, most still in original packaging, can put up photos if you need but dont really want to unwrap stuff and photos of packaging are not much use! The previous owner of my M5 traded it on a landcruiser, not a mistake I can see myself making!!

Firewall on a totalspan/steel garage is a bit of a PITA, but not impossible, fireline gib inside and out on the offending wall and about 400 return on the 2 adjoining walls, and no penetrations, windows etc. Water main shouldnt be a big issue.

My consumption sits at 18.5 ! But I am pretty sure the touring uses more gas because it has more awesome to move around!!
