A BMW wrecker offered him 2,700. This is a clubsport in it? -
Correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't the coating keep too much heat in causing damage to turbo etc? Or is that exhaust wrap?
-
Best thing you could have done to the Mazda, take the poxy little toy out of the engine bay and put a proper powerplant in.
-
Plenty of heat gonna be coming off that bad boy.

M50dX5, already done. And very much M performance, a few split seconds off M5 0-100.

I doubt very much if there is a genuine S3 in the country. That E46 above isn't worth what they are asking. -
It's a 525 at the moment isn't it haha

I too drive them most days, F01 is far superior in every way other wise what's the point in bringing out newer, more modern vehicles.

Doing it wrong, glass that's in one peice can take quite a bit of strain. You just have to watch out not to put too much upward stress on it. Strong metal wire with two handles on it works every time. Leave the car in the sun for half a day always helps too.

Easy as man, cut more windscreens than i've had hot dinners, better than Smith and Smith animals too. If you don't have a proper cutter just remove the outer seal and use a craft knife to cut through the sealer then put a piece of wire through the hole and seesaw all the way round the screen, takes a bit of energy and time but takes it out in one piece.

New toys are always neat! -
E65s are terrible, F01 is a far superior car!

1M, M3, M5, M6 X5M and X6M are all still made in the Motorsport factory. They are still Motorsport vehicles.

Ha who are you trying to kid. SMG change =3 seconds.

Oh so at 100 in 5th it's doing around 4000rpm, f**k that.

An oil soaked rubber cambelt, right.

If you have driven one (probably one or two of you) they are very much a great cruiser and if you like to get up and go, they do that too! I like them very much, don't see a huge change in the LCI version but that's a good thing, they have it pretty spot on with seven styling.

What's the price of these again? -
Nope because it's not a genuine Motorsport vehicle from factory.

Yep everyone has their own opinion, Germany rules overall since they produce the cars though.Back in the 90s the only cars to have M badges were M3 and M5 (was there a 90s M325i E30?) That's how it should have stayed. Now there is pages upon pages of Motorsport gear you can tick for your new BMW the badge just shows it off.
-
No, most new BMWs have a Motorsport steering wheel these days, don't no why, much nicer wheel though. It needs to be a combination of Kit (the most important thing for the M to be approved) wheels, interior etc. You won't see an original M badged car without a kit and just M wheels, doesn't work like that.

We had two '02 911 Turbos at work today, my god what a car! Still a roof chopped beetle though

When we recieve new cars for Pre delivery inspections part of the inspection is to fit an M badge if the vehicle is equipped with Motorsport items such as kit, interior wheels etc, it seems these days Germany just hand out the M badge willy nilly, it has no true significance anymore. When fitting the M we debadge the series number and fir the M on it's own, if there is an M badge as well as the series badge any where on the boot the M has been stuck on after sale of the vehicle, this is frowned upon by Germany and it just looks sh*t, except the M325i on E30s, that's genuine of course.
