  1. The only way that car was worth 5 grand, was if it was insured for that amount!
  2. OK, it's an E46. However, your car may not have been optioned with a CD changer, did the seller tell you it had one? If it did it would be on the left hand side of the boot behind the carpet shrouding. I'm not an expert, but I believe the BMW CD changers were manufactured by Sony, so one of their models might work. Best wait for Jochen or Hotwire (forum members) to turn up in this thread as they know far more about this subject than I do
  3. Well, we're all half right.... Did a quick search and turns out these wheels - "Style 25's" as they're called - were made for E36, E46, E39 and E38 offsets.
  4. Welcome to bimmersport ... nice car! Oh, and your model code is E38, not E85. And RJS... those won't be E36 wheels, as they would be the wrong offset for the car.
  5. My brother has a "MediaGate" which is the same deal as the machine you've linked to. Awesome piece of kit, I'm looking at getting one myself. Best part is the wireless networking so you can download movies/music and then send them wirelessly to the MediaGate's hard drive for watching later. The menu system is intuitive and simple to use with the included remote. The advantage of these over a fully-fledged Media PC is that it takes up less space and you don't have to have a bloody great keyboard and mouse setup sitting on your coffee table! As for the MySkyHDi.... well it must have an HDMI output, otherwise it can't be true HD.
  6. Don't know if this is a repost or not, but the amount of work this guy has put in to his car is incredible and it's all documented in the one thread. I have to admit, not all the mods are to my taste but his fabrication work is amazing. Warning: The thread is currently 45 pages long.... read this at home if you want to get some work done this afternoon! Epic thread

    Car Cancer Surgery

Nice job. When you own an E30 it's good to know people who can fix stuff for a box of coldies!
  8. 1 min 47. Yeah... I think they're better off calling the AA!

    E34 Face Lifting

I think that the bonnet, nosepanel and grilles are all you need. If you're extremely lucky you may be able to find a wrecked facelift car in the same colour as yours. BMW will still have the bits in their parts bin and it's a simple case of just bolting them on, but new parts may be prohibitively expensive. Get in touch with Ray from HellBM (a sponsor on here), he'll probably have what you need.
  10. You crazy bastard is right.... up at 3:30 in the morning, you must be excited! (I'm bored at work right now, so that's my excuse for posting at this hour!) Congrats, we'll have to have another Chch meet soon so we can all check the car out. (And we can compare shades of green! )
  11. SOLD for $1500. Now that's over.... anyone got a 1300-1600cc car for under $1500 they want to sell me?
  12. No. But you can register your personalised plate idea with the LTSA and then have the german version of it made up to put on your car.
  13. Are they just for fun, or do you have "BMDUBS" registered as a legit plate? EDIT: I'm confused... these plates are still for sale.
  14. Why is it a trademe pic?
  15. I've gotta sell: Price now $1600 ono. Someone's gonna get a bargain.
  16. The X6 looks like a jacked-up Prius on steroids. One of the only BMW's I can't stand the look of. And after the E65 that's saying something!
  17. Ninja skills. As for subject of post... this is the very reason why "BMW Individual" is a such a great idea and such a horrendous one at the same time!
  18. Link goes to an E46 318i You mean this one?

    Breyton Wheels

What are you putting on your car instead? I imagine the Breyton's already look the biz!
  20. It's the only way to go! Look forward to seeing them on the car.
  21. Haha! Had my plates on for a year now. Had numerous parking tickets, one speeding ticket (cop pulled me over) and the other day I got photographed by a parking warden for stopping on yellow lines (got a ticket in the mail) and no mention of the plates. Oh, and plates aren't a WOF issue so no need to worry there. Â
  22. Don't be a wuss and get the plates your car was made to wear!

    Women Drivers

The clip with the woman trying to load her shopping is an ad (for a roomy hatchback I believe). Testing station clip is awesome!!!
