Damn, looks mint. How are you rolling the rear gaurds? Baseball bat or pipe? Blowtorch? I need to find a good way to roll the rears before we paint.

For Sale: 1988 E30 325i Engine: M20B25 ~160,000km Engine runs fantastically. One of the best M20B25s I've driven. It takes a few cranks to start it from cold, but after that it starts mint. It has got an oil leak, but I haven't found out where it's coming from yet. No ticking tappets Interior: Leather interior (non recaro). However, a seam has split on the driver's seat. Quoted ~$80 to fix Wof til somewhere in late Feb, Reg is expiring soon. Initially I thought this had a cracked head, as when I drained the cooling system there was oil in there. Then I bought Jamez's 325i, and I've been working on that. However, after flushing it a few times, and draining the water every third day and taking a sample of it, there doesn't seem to be any oil left in there. I drive the car every day, and it's been very reliable. Inspections highly recommended, I'm not a mechanic, so it pays to check it out. There are quite a few small things wrong with it, but you'd need to check it out. Pics in my project thread. Comes on bottlecaps now. Will update pics soon. $1200 ono, take it away.

I too have the Hartge 16" 3 piece rims. Mine are 7" wide. Are you going for the aluminum or special steel outer lips? If I was wanting to make mine 9" in the back, and 8" in the front, do you know what size outer lips I need to get? I only ask as I assume you've done more research than I have (nothing ) Were you quoted on price at all? Cheers, nice car! edit: Duh, just found the online store. $1200 odd later.. Eek.

635ci's, VK commodores, DR30 Skylines, Volvo turbos, E30s, Mustangs etc. Fantastic race. 160mb http://rapidshare.com/files/337450371/1986...ound1Amaroo.wmv

About 42 mins. Might upload it to youtube later, if they allow that sort of length. About 35 mins to go until it's uploaded to rapidshare

I have an old ATCC video I watch from time to time, where all the old cars from 1986 are racing at Amaroo park in Aussie. Volvo turbos, mustangs, DR30 skylines, VK Commodores, 635ci's etc, and then there was this little one terrorising the bigger cars, as this was naturally much easier on its tyres. Brutally cool car I'll see if I can upload it to rapidshare

I'm gonna go against the grain and say I like it, however, it'd be better if it was lower/wider steels/bonnet rusted better.

I think it looks great, but personally I think Tech 1 wings suit unkitted E30s more than Tech II kitted ones. I'd still keep it on there though, or you can sell it to me

I'm making the trek up, managed to score a cheeky ticket yesterday for $100 so I'm pretty stoked!

Top Gear Russia and Australia are both terrible. Thank God they didn't make a USA version in the end. That guy off the Australian Top Gear has a pedophile moustache.

Keep in mind you'll need a new clutch kit as well. The price varies depending on where you go, and if you get any deals. I got mine for $330+ Gst from BNT, and my flywheel skimmed for $30. All the little bits add up. Look at the condition of the master and slave cylinders, and see if they need replacing. Chances are the slave will, but these aren't expensive

I own 3 E30 325is, only 1 of which works. Do I qualify? Hahah

Realling digging the hubcaps actually, it gives the impression of a relic that has survived intact from 1990. I say keep rolling around in that until you can afford some decent rims, it's still a nice cruiser

I went in to BNT to get quotes for my usual cost + gst deal, Whiteline and what they had available in Noltec, and here is what I came away with: Offset Control arm - Retail: $104 + GST, Cost: $72.82 + GST Subframe - Retail: $126 + GST, Cost: $88.40 + GST Front Sway Bar mount (18mm) - Retail: $27 + GST, Cost: $19 + GST Rear Sway Bar mount (14mm) - Retail: $27 + GST, Cost: $16 + GST Rear Sway Bar link - Retail: $42 + GST, Cost $29 + GST. Problem is, in the whiteline catalogue they had, there were no parts for the trailing arms, or the diff for E30s, so they quoted me for E36 parts in case they were the same, or if they get parts it gives me an idea on pricing. Trailing arm (E36) - Retail: $178 + GST, Cost: $125 + GST Diff (E36) - Retail: $33 + GST, Cost: $22.65 + GST I'm not sure how many people get deals at BNT, so I listed retail as well just to give an idea. Cheers, D

are the e30 coupe and e30 sedan bonnets the same?
Top Secret replied to E30AFFIAR's topic in General Discussion
I too am doing the bonnet idea with a spare one, but I intend on doing the rest of the car 'properly' to match. That's not to say E30 Affair isn't, I think his car is the sh*t! -
Ah!! Nice!! Where'd you get your roof racks from? I need some so I can support a kayak.

Man, this is certainly frought with problems.. makes mine pale in comparison haha. Good luck!

Hayashi Racing 505s. If it's the set I think they are, then they're 10J on the front with -10 offset, and 11J on the rear with -30 offset. I might faint now

What does the engine run like? Does it/has it used much oil in your ownership that you're aware of? So I guess the OBC and cruise control have been taken out? Cheers
-
Count me in too. Will this be cheaper than BNT trade price?
