  1. Any time after 11pm, on nice empty roads.. As for what way, no idea sorry.
  2. ALL. Dude, it's spelled A-L-L. I just wanted to contribute. That is all.
  3. Said the gasket would be fixed before sale.. which worries me. Chemiweld? Quick fix from Hemi down the road? But as everyone else has said, buy it for the rims. Sell gearbox to Mark. Put 1UZFE or 1JZ in there. Or a 2JZ even, "no sh*t"
  4. Ahhh, not a fan of the milo tin can with pebbles in it sound. A standard CSL with a carbon airbox (or whatever the BMW nomenclature is) sounds the best to me. Nice car though.
  5. Even though I don't really like Mike's cockney style of presenting, it does seem to suit the purposes of the show. Ed is a bit of a genius.
  6. Looks like a really tidy and well though out conversion. I especially like the crinkle finish paint he used on the rocker covers, nothing flashy. If you can get that car wof'd reg'd and certed for under $10g, I think that's a bargain. Would need to buy an LSD though!

    WTB: M20B25

I'll have an engine in a month or so for $600.
  8. That link you showed me hits and misses on many counts. Firstly, it talks about Japanese cars being in great condition. That's a load of crap, and all the proof you need is to have a look at the mid 90s Japanese cars NZ is inundated with. So many have been smoked in, and that goes all through the ventilation. They barely ever service their cars to the level that the average person in NZ would. This is still true for performance cars. Lastly, if they're stuck in traffic jams all the time, the bulk of the km are stop start traffic. Removed from the road? Come on now.. that's ridiculous. edit: getting off topic, my bad.
  9. Wait, what? Can you get a source for any of that?
  10. That looks awesome mate. I'm not usually a fan of prefacelifts, but your one I do dig. There is someone on the forums selling an M20B25 for $395 in the South Island.. which is cheap as chips really.
  11. Popular? As in searches made or amount listed? I'm guessing it's searches as R33 Vspecs aren't too common. Frankly I'm surprised the Japanese commodore (Cefiro) isn't on there..
  12. If you've got enough spare cash to consider a E46 330i at such a young age, you can afford to perservere with finishing this project. If your shell has all these niggles, get another. $500, easy. Or, get a place with a garage/driveway, then you should have no real time constraints so you can take it easy.
  13. That engine is super ridiculously cheap..
  14. Sweet, downloading it now. I don't like "the edge", but the trailer looks good.
  15. sh*t. I'm surprised with how well the Evo took that ~100km/h crash though. I shudder to think what would have happened to our tin can E30s. What engine are you going for? I presume something light, and 4 cyl. SR20?
  16. Depending on how much you want to spend on a set of wheels, here is a site that can provide in spades Felgen Garage
  17. I think the cruise control may not work if you car has been converted to manual. I was reading up about this, as I also have cruise control, and I want to get it working when the car is manual for those long trips. I hear you need to separate the two green/black wires by the reverse light switch (under the centre console) via a switch to tell the car it's in drive, but that's as far as my research has gone.
  18. Pauls Audio I haven't used them personally but NZICE members have and said there were no problems.
  19. Works well. A bulk pack with a deal off NZICE (car audio forum) was $400, which would do two doors, boot, and a couple of other panels. This was a little while ago though. Some of the serious guys have lined their floors with it, and apparently it makes it mega quiet.
  20. I was actually talking to Evan at Speedfactor in Tauranga about these a while ago. They've had good results, and they use them on their SS2000 Civic. Apparently they can also tailor springs rates to suit your application, if I remember correctly. For $2000 you can have the full race set up, which replaces the separate spring/shock set up with a single coilover strut.
  21. I have a VDO M20 KMH speedo cluster for sale if you don't have any luck. Easy way to do it. My UK's odometer has also stopped. It hasn't bothered me too much
  22. Yeah, I wanted an OMP suede steering wheel because I like the extra knee room, which helps when you're heel and toe-ing, and it's less strain on your arms if you go for an extended backroad blast when your arms aren't stretched out as much. However, the angle is pretty rubbish. When I do eventually space the column down (may be a while), I'll take photos.
  23. I've got an OMP steering wheel in my car, like the one above. I think I'm going to space the steering column down, especially when I get a lower non-reclinable seat
